Repede (Tales of Vesperia) vs Jowy Atreides (Suikoden II) - Goes first and OHKOs.  I am absolutely not willing see Repede's strategy beat fast OHKOs ever.

Claude von Riegen (Fire Emblem: Three Houses) vs Hugo (Suikoden III) - Kneejerk is that Hugo has a little too much to work with for Claude to scam him out.  Possibly more interesting if you see WoS slamming into Charm instead of magic evasion but it should be obvious by now that I don't.

Middle

Messam Elmdore (Final Fantasy Tactics) vs Xander (Fire Emblem Fates) - Well Xander would've fallen down the evasion hole either way I guess.

Claude von Riegan (Fire Emblem: Three Houses) vs Hugo (Suikoden III) - uh I'm not sure. Frankly haven't decided on how I see 3H against status myself, and this is very important here. Hugo's evade game makes Claude uguu as is, though... EDIT: Yeah, I suppose the evade is way too much.
Nel Zelpher (Star Ocean: Till the End of Time) vs Umi (Cthulhu Saves the World) - uh I really need to decide on who is faster between Nel and Umi here, dammit. EDIT: Yeah, definitely. I'm okay with respecting Ice Daggers speed more than Umi in general.

Tin Man (The Wizard of Oz: Beyond the Yellow Brick Road) vs Adray Lasbard (Star Ocean Till the End of Time) - Tin Man 2HKOs Adray and likely outraces Heal before he runs out of gas. Problem is, if I'm reading right, Ice Needles freeze is turn two? That uh is probably enough for Adray here, since he's still considerably faster.
Hubert von Vestra (Fire Emblem: Three Houses) vs Kamil Dowonna (The 7th Saga) - Frozen Lance indeed 2HKOs Kamil and Hubert goes first. Kamil OHKOs with Defend+physical... IF he hits, but it frankly doesn't matter because of being 2HKOed first.

Claude von Riegen (Fire Emblem: Three Houses) vs Hugo (Suikoden III): I do see charm reducing Wind of Sleep, but it doesn't matter. Just means it's turn 2 instead of turn 1, and Claude can't win with one turn. (Brave Bow quad miiight one-round but no way Claude hits 4/4 on that.)
Nel Zelpher (Star Ocean: Till the End of Time) vs Umi (Cthulhu Saves the World): Dhyer's numbers suggest Nel is definitely faster, 139% speed is definitely gonna beat Umi by any scaling. Going first with a >50% freeze makes it almost impossible for an opponent to win with status, and her lightning resistance means that Umi isn't going to win quick with damage, either.

Middle

Messam Elmdore (Final Fantasy Tactics) vs Xander (Fire Emblem Fates): Best-case scenario for Xander is hyping his high move as giving him a shot at Elmdor's back (30% hit rate) and Chivalry's boost letting him barely OHKO. He's still giving Elmdor three turns on average, way too much.
Setsuna (I Am Setsuna) vs Hope Estheim (Final Fantasy XIII): Could be argued there's some momentum strat, but strong kneejerk is that Hope's buff pileup is too much for Setsuna to handle. This is especially true if Barthunder is seen as reducing her damage, and given that her own spell that boosts it is called Enthunder, this is very tempting... but probably isn't necessary.

Light

Tin Man (The Wizard of Oz: Beyond the Yellow Brick Road) vs Adray Lasbard (Star Ocean Till the End of Time): Faster freeze makes sense to me. Tin Man has problems with this matchup regardless.

Nel Zelpher (Star Ocean: Till the End of Time) vs Umi (Cthulhu Saves the World)- Resists Silence. I think that gives her enough time.

Middle
Setsuna (I Am Setsuna) vs Hope Estheim (Final Fantasy XIII)- Gut reaction. Hope will just heal forever until he can summon his Eidolon, and I don't think Setsuna has any answer to this and that's without his defensive buffs in play.

Light

It's a little "cheesy" but I legitimately think that Claude's "best" DL path might be to hit both Brigand AND Archer and skip out on...  apparently he runs Swordmaster rather than Wyvern Master at L21-31 for the growths.   Slightly worse growths but this is definitely one of those matches he wants Hit +20 for!

Not really down for ARPG speed hype today.

Setsuna does have a plan that doesn't involve Singularity RNG, heal a ton and then OHKO with her ultimate.  I'm not really a huge fan of hyping up the heal-into-Summon strategy which is heavily dependent on starting..  whatever that meter that governed Summon was...  but Elf has a good point that Hope has Barthunder, which would make Setsuna have to heal for an even longer time.  So probably Hope, but meh, he puts on such horrible pressure here.  (Usual reminder I don't let him have Commando.)
