Watching any anime?

You know the drill.

Persona ~trinity soul~ - Watched episode 1. Seems like it has potential. Will follow this series for now, at least. Quite a bit different from P3, but in a way I like.

Tsubasa Chronicles: CLAMPilicious. It's hard to tell if this is a good thing or a bad thing (I like CLAMP, but it comes off really strong sometimes). Feels a lot like AU fanfiction, but that's to be expected.

I've been watching two series right now:
Sayanora Zetsubou Sensei/Farewell Mr. Despair (Nowadays, there's a "Zoku" at the beginning of that mess):
Excellent comedy series. Already on Season 2. Just... surreal and smart. Also, I can tell it'd be even better if I understood Japanese, because there's also a lot of local references and complex Japanese puns. That it still manages to be funny with all this humor being lost on me is a testament to how good it is.

Kaiji:
For being about usually nothing, having a completely over-the-top narrator, and moving at a snail's pace, this is quite possibly the most dramatic television series I have ever seen. Excellently written and intensely psychological. Everyone must watch Kaiji.

Let mes ee.

Hayate no Gotoku: Himegami looks weird.

Persona trinity soul: Felt like it.

ZSZS: Name too long.

Gundam 00: Lockon is the man.

Higurashi: Subs are slow.

Starship Troopers: There's an anime of this apparently.

Shigofumi: The opening pisses me the hell off, and it's the only reason I'm watching this.

The stuff I'm downloading at the moment...

Naruto Shippuden- Shounen. Moving on.
Spice and Wolf- Interesting new show. Love the opening.
Zoku Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei- Good. Nuff said.
Starship Troopers- Eh. Old, but at least they got the power armor right!
Kekkaishi- Shounen goodness. Much better than Bleach and Naruto despite fillery start
Bamboo Blade- Cute, goofy and hilarious. Like Azumanga Daioh as a sports anime.

The trailers for the .hack//GU trilogy are godly. I can't wait.

Only thing I'm watching that others aren't is Black Jack. This show... is kind of wacky. Though Tetsuka as a totally justified self-insert character is kind of awesome (He was a fully licensed doctor in real life). Episodes are kind of formulaic- Tragedy, dramatic surgery, positive outcome. Still like it.

Gundam 00 - Goodness me, this is an improvement over SEED already.

Lockon and Allelujah are cool, Setsuna and Tieria can fall off an orbital elevator. Graham Acre seduces mechs, Soma Peiris isn't completely typical for her character type, Sergei is a Real Man. Primary bridge crew is womens, and not bad. Wong is mysterious, the Princess needs more backbone.

Celestial Being is giving me a Light Yagami aftertaste though... well, at least they aren't (all) pricks like he was, and actually have varied and at least decent motivations.

Two things about Persona: Trinity Soul.

One, this show is boring. It hasn't given me reason to care about its whoooospooky. When the mains are too clueless or too clueful relative to the watchers, I fall out of sync and fail to care.

Two, this is the WORST. OP. EVER. It seriously is the most generic flailing anime opening I have ever seen. Cheesy grating rock song, random characters running in the dark, nothing actually cool to look at. Actively annoys me.

Persona TS: Yaoi value sky rockets, the incestual air makes it even better. Fuck the plot or whatever, I am following thsi to the very end. I shall now wait for doujins.

Watched the first 9 episodes of Bamboo Blade
(MILD SPOILERS?!)
Not...... terribly exciting, but there's not much wrong with it, either. I feel like it's sllllllowwwwwwwly picking up as characters get fleshed out some. I am enraged at how long it's taking to introduce the fifth girl.

A nice touch was how the rivals appeared all super-sinister and in the fight it was all super-sinister, and then afterwards, hey, they're just girls and it turns out they were being competitive. Can't help but figure I'd prefer watching a show ABOUT the rivals, though.

Up to episode 7 of Bamboo Blade. So, echoing VSM minus two episodes worth of stuff plus a little more hype all around.

And once again, I fall to the wiles of too-cuteness.

Finally finished watching Daimos. Show is extremely mehish.
Some good moments unfortunately a lot of them are towards the end, which I can only assume is a trick to attempt to make people forget how lame the majority of the show is.

I love how the security tunnel autocannons in the final episode completely trash the Tranzer/Daimos. They should have taken these and put them on the things they were fighting Daimos with in the main of the show. Oddly enough despite effectively destroying Daimos they only scar Kazuya/Richter.

Because I couldn't understand a word they were saying and Kazuya is never shown back on his feet I am going to take it as written than he died, despite outside evidence to the contrary. Fufufu. Unfortunately I have no way of having Erika die off as well and she's the only one alive at the end who deserves it.

Richter killed himself off for no freaking reason whatsoever. 'I've saved the colony! Now to fire myself into Jupiter and explode!'. Highnel's death wasn't his own fault and Garuda has effectively going insane to blame, but this is just ellipsis-worthy and like they wanted him dead and couldn't be bothered thinking about why. When I think about it, Richter had a really poor showing in the final episode in general. 'Kazuya has shown up to help me save my people from Olban! NOW TO FIGHT HEEMMMM'

Not entirely sure what I should watch next. Should possibly get back to Grendizer that I stalled in the middle of watching for no apparent reason.

Things I've seen in last like 3 months

Darker Than Black- Was pretty fun, like I said in RPG ratings, it was nice to see a show with super powered beings who could actually lose fights to normal humans with weapons.  The characters were fun and the plot twist at the end was kind of interesting too.  As usual the ending was sorta random, but that tends to happen in short serieses and I always complain about it.  You'd think I'd learn and deal with it!

D Gray Man - Caught up on this one.  I like it, although it's slowed down a little bit in the last 10-15 episodes.  I'm waiting for some more progress on their fighting abilities and it looks like that's finally going to happen in the next 6-7 episodes.  The problem is, they're once a week or whatever now and that annoys me.

Kenichi World's Strongest Disciple- Pure awesome.  Another one where super fighters weren't total Gods, barring the masters, who don't fight often.  The main character is afraid of knives a bit into the series and would probably still fear guns by the end, so that is refreshing!  As for the characters, they did a good job of adding variety too everyone, and despite having a shitload of characters they manage to develop them decently well and make you like/hate who you should. (8 Fists, 5 masters, 2 mains, 1 nemesis main, 3-4 friends, 6-7 underling badguys who get development, etc.)  Apachi is pure win.

Kaze No Stimga- The cool guy attitude is overdone, but it worked for the main of this show.  (Least recent I watch so less fresh in my mind.)  The interactions between a lot of the characters was fun in this one, especially considering the nonstop awkward situations that they were put in.

Mai-Hime- Watching this now, like 15 episodes in.  I'm guessing it's like the same producer/writer or something as Mai-Hitome?  I'm too lazy to check.  Anywho, I like it a bit less than Mai-Hitome, but it's still fairly interesting and entertaining.  After this series I'll probably move on to something a bit less mindless, but for now this entertains me.

Bleach- Slowed down to a snails pace.  This might have been okay if not for the once a week episodes, but good lord. 15-20 episodes of fighting random underlings is getting so dull.  I get it, Chad, Renji, etc. all have Captain level strength now, but can't match up to tier 1 Espada.  Also, I can't buy someone as smart as Ishida (I think that's his name) toying with his enemies so often.  He knows they're on a mission and all that good shit, and yet he fucks around when he needs to get a move on AND an ally was in the room too.  What if that weird Hollow guy had died while Ishida was fucking around.  Pffft.  Get on with the plot please.

(Spoilers ahead)

Mai-Hime-  Holy fuck this show just took a dark turn.  I knew they were capable of offing characters, but killing off Takumi and Makoto(?) in the same episode, as well as Akira losing her child.  Not quite what I expected from a show that, despite showing signs of darkness, lent itself to a happier ending.  Also, guessing what's his face VP dude is the Lord whatever guy, but we'll see.

Editing:  Yeah... once people started just dropping I kind of realized that the show wouldn't actually just kill of 95% of the main characters.  Probably should of realized that right when Takumi died, but oh well, I'm an episode or two slow.  I enjoyed the ending quite a bit more than Mai-Hitome, although it ended maybe a bit too fluffy!  At least kill off Reito or one of those douchebags.  Ahh well, I'll rate it later as... I'm tired!

On a side note, how the hell did MIYU survive when she purposely overloaded herself to go boom, or did I miss something there?  Hmm...

Started Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei. It lives up the billing.

(Also, am I the only one who thinks Cheerful Girl's name is obviously supposed to be "Kafka"?)

It's supposed to be LIKE Kafka, yes. That's definitely intentional.

Actually, if you start watching at the end of the eps, they eventually tell you how each character is named. EVERY SINGLE CHARACTER in the series has a naming quirk.

Yeah, I figured it was deliberate on the writers' part, more of a gripe about the fansubbing.
