1. Tactics Ogre: Knights of Lodis- Very good overall in spite of combat being slow.
2. Breath of Fire 2- Got too much enjoyment out of this game in spite of the flaws it had to hate it.

4. Legaia: Duel Saga- It was good fun. Legaia was a victim of a strong field. And this is offically the last game I like on the list.
5. Golden Sun- Generic average, which owns most of this shit.

1) Persona 2 - Wow.  Damn tough field, but Persona 2 is quite possibly the best game ever.  So yeah.
2) Tales of the Abyss - Granted, TotA is badass as well.  Just could stand to have some better pacing and world map.
3) Wild ARMs 4 - Awesome, but not as good as the other two.  Still 10/10.
4) Dragon Quest 8 - Yeah, see above. 
5) Front Mission 4 - Fantastic, really.  Tough competition, here. 
6) Lunar 2 - Lunar 1 would be higher!  Still great.
7) Star Ocean 2 - Glitches and annoyances bring it down.  Still good.
8) Baldur's Gate 2 - Honestly...great game, but...eh...can't see it above the rest.
9) Vagrant Story - This game changes with me daily.  Today, I'm hyping it.  It has issues, but it is damn fun with a good story and system, even if annoying at times.
10) Fire Emblem 8 - Handheld fun (or emulated).  Decent enough.
11) Suikoden 5 - CORNELIO!!!!!
12) Suikoden 2 - Lack of watercolour portraits brings it down.
13) Super Mario RPG - Fun, but...objectively worse than S2.
14) Final Fantasy 6 - Average to me.
15) Pokemon RSE - Bored me.  Pokemon needs some characters and plot.  The gameplay and system and premise gets old.
16) Suikoden 3 - Crappy and overhyped.

1) Persona 1 - This game is awesome, damnit!  Yes, problems, but holy heck, it's got potential!  Replayability!  Fun stuff!  I do love it so much.
2) Legaia: Duel Saga - Fun as hell.  A bit repetitive, but fun and quick.  Sharon for the win.
3) Wild ARMs 5 - It's...not amazing.  It's good, but not on the level of WA4 or WA1.  But it's better than some of the other stuff here.  Disappointment from WA4 aside, a good game.  Fuck Dean.
4) Breath of Fire 2 - Best of the series.  Fun and a good play.
5) Xenosaga 2 - Wow...such a difference between the top and bottom. 
6) Xenosaga 3 - I actually like the game, damnit!  It just ends after Dmitri >_>
7) Hoshigami - Sucky music brings it down.
8) Radiata Stories - Is actually fun!
9) Golden Sun - Average, but not bad.
10) Final Fantasy 8 - Is really pretty, and not as bad as I think it gets the hype for.

1. Tales of the Abyss - Not a hard pick in this field, especially for me. Even without the Tales fanaticism, this one would still be really high up on my list.
2. Suikoden 3 - The most playable and memorable Suikoden game. It was a lot of fun choosing who to use and how to develop them. All the sidequests in this game were actually worth playing, too. A very rare feat. Trinity Sight needs to be copied by more games.
3. Final Fantasy 6 - I can't bring myself to rank this any lower, it's still a great deal of fun to play, and story/characters are amazingly well-done. Midgame twist alone gets it this high.
4. Star Ocean 2 - PAs were a fun idea, great replayability, has Ashton and Opera goodness. Item Creation was surprisingly addictive. Want this remake so badly.
5. Wild ARMs 4 - A very deserving game. Platforming is win. I really like the villains, surprisingly enough. I wish they had more screen time so I could get to know them better. Raquel and Arnaud are great characters. Character growth system was fun and intuitive. Hex system, of course, was awesome.
6. Suikoden 5 - Liked it a -tiny- bit more than 2.
7. Suikoden 2 - S5 and S2 are pretty similar, good characters overall, good plot, and the gameplay was just engaging enough that it never detracted from what was essentially, a really cool war story.
8. Super Mario RPG - Humor -will- get you this far.
9. Lunar2 - Humor -will- get you this far.
10. Dragon Quest 8 - No bad points, and tons of love for the script/localization. Battle system's kind of bland. Akira Toriyama art makes it lose several points.
11. Persona 2 - Cool setting, all of these games are pretty good, just P2 isn't good enough to beat the others.

1. Wild ARMS 5 - Not a loser.
2. Arc the Lad 2 - Generic, but I really enjoyed playing this one. Character specialization + AtL1 save-import + Monster Arena = fun if you like grinding like I do. Mission system was actually pretty enjoyable.
3. Legaia: Duel Saga - Combo system is fun, Sharon rules.
4. Golden Sun - Generic, but solid. Setting is pretty neat. Djinn-based class system is cool. Puzzles were interesting. Good example of polished generic.
5. Breath of Fire 2 - So is this.

3.   Vagrant Story – Style, characters, story, customization…combat is the only thing that drops it even somewhat below WA4, and even that’s not that bad, just repetitive.
4.   Dragon Quest 8 – Has awesome style, fun customization and awesome style.
5.   Front Mission 4 – Solid, creative SRPG.
6.   Tales of the Abyss – Love for the battle system, most of the cast, the challenge…yeah, good game.
7.   Fire Emblem 8 – Fun SRPG, adds much-needed customization to a formula I enjoyed.

1.   Secret of Mana – Fun A/RPG that I’ve replayed about eight times. I still wonder why they felt the need to fuck up the combat engine so thoroughly for SD3.
2.   Wild ARMs 5 – What’s this doing in the losers bracket? Sure it doesn’t live up to WA4, but it doesn’t suck.
3.   Legaia: Duel Saga – Generic but not actually bad. Well, the villains are bad. But other than that!
4.   Arc the Lad 2 – Boooooooooooring. Also slow and boring.
5.   Final Fantasy 8 – Crappy but playable.
6.   Final Fantasy X-2 – Crappier but still playable.
7.   Tactics Ogre: Knights of Lodis – FFTA gameplay without laws is worth a not-last placing, I guess.

1. Wild ARMs 4 - If you know me well enough and didn't see this here, you would probably think something is wrong
2. Front Mission 4 - Awesome. It's lengthy enough, lots of decisions and customization choices you can make and the challenge and bonuses are there. Darrill is also pretty cool. Elsa's team had plenty of dynamic together.
3. Tales of the Abyss - I think the pacing drags it down a notch. Still, two to four are insanely close together.
4. Final Fantasy 6 - Still very good.
5. Super Mario RPG - A pretty big drop, but game is still full of win. Its quirky and has its own neat little charm to it. I prefer it compared to EB overall in terms of quirkiness. Also, Bowser as a playable character here was good. Even if he eventually sucked.
6. Pokemon RSE - In the end, RSE wins over FE8 on the battle system. Close though.

1. Wild ARMs 5 - Does not deserve to be in this bracket

2. Xenosaga 2 - Mm..decent. If we factor out the Xenosaga series and just consider it game by game, XS2 at least has interesting combat, albeit long.
3. Golden Sun - Not offensive, merely average
4. Final Fantasy 8 - Plot is somewhat offensive. Also Rinoa exists. The game has some redeeming points such as Squall was cool in the first half and Triple Triad. That saves it from the bottom.
5. Radiata Stories - Um...combat was pretty lame. I never really got that far into it, but it was also slow as hell I found.
6. Final Fantasy X-2 - ...WHICH STILL BEATS THIS. FFX-2 vs. XS3 is very epic. But FFX-2 "wins" on the account that XS3 has Shion and the worst scene ever tm. Although having failure Rikku and incest Brother in its cast is epic in itself.
7. Xenosaga 3 - Fails on every conceivable level.

1. Dragon Quest 8- Just charming in ways I can't describe. Angelo and Marcello are sexy.
2. Suikoden 2- Shu + plot stuff.
3. Wild ARMs 4- Gameplay is sexy. There's some decent dialogue work in there too.
4. Suikoden 3- A blend of good gameplay and decent plot and character work.
5. Persona 2- Characters are awesome. Gameplay... isn't.
6. Suikoden 5- See above, but with slower gameplay. Not really worse, but slower does it in.
7. Fire Emblem 8- Gameplay and plot are both above average but nothing great.
8. Pokemon RSE- Gameplay game. Does not have Pokemon Master Dave.
9. Super Mario RPG- Fluffy.
10. Lunar 2- Also fluffy.
11. Star Ocean 2- Just kind of bad at plot and only okay at gameplay.
12. Final Fantasy 6- It definitely has some character stuff hidden, but I'm afraid most of this game is wasted potential.
13. Vagrant Story- Not really good in any way, but it has less sheer crap than TotA.
14. Tales of the Abyss- Horrible gameplay and way too much really awful plot with unlikable characters.

3. Pokemon RSE (I spent the most time on this game compared to the rest in terms of replays, optional stuff, etc. and I still love it, so yeah, guess it wins.)
4. Suikoden 3 (not a huge fan of it, still a nice game and all that)
5. Lunar 2 (...ok, I like Lunar 2, but no way should it be this high in this setting or something <_<)
6. Dragon Quest 8 (well done game overall and such, and has actual polish...and its a Dragon Quest, what the fuck?)
7. Suikoden 5 (awesome plot! Not awesome polish and mehish gameplay...)
8. Fire Emblem 8 (worst modern FE I played, but still not bad)
9. Star Ocean 2 (Fun game but aged poorly)
10. Super Mario RPG (Cute game and all that, but its pure fluff)
11. Suikoden 2 (I dunno; use to like it a lot, but on replays, opinion dropped and...yeah.  Mind, its still not BAD, but can't think of much of a reason to like this game much anymore)

1. Wild ARMs 5 (What the fuck is this doing in losers?  Regardless, its a fine game if flawed)
2. Legaia: Duel Saga (Decent filler game and all that.  Doesn't really stand out much, but not bad, so...)
3. Xenosaga 2 (Good plot, interesting gameplay...but it starts the "Shion fails" trend which docks it several points.)
4. Breath of Fire 2 (Worst of the series? Yes, but its still not THAT bad.)
5. Golden Sun (utterly average and generic! Which makes it infinitely better than most of this group)
6. Secret of Mana (Game that aged poorly, but isn't THAT awful, and still playable)
7. Final Fantasy 8 (Its got some good core ideas for gameplay, and its pretty! Also decent OST (if one of the weaker ones in the series)! But it has Rinoa, and the Orphanage scene and Disc 3...)
8. Final Fantasy X-2 (FF8, replacing "Rinoa" with "Rikku" and "Orphanage scene and Disc 3" with "ENTIRE FUCKING GAME."  Oh, far worse OST too...)
9. Radiata Stories (What the fuck is wrong with this list when there's 6 games WORSE than Radiata Stories?)
10. Arc the Lad 2 (Decent at first! But the game drops off so badly in the second half its not even funny, to a point where the whole first half doesn't really matter)
11. 7th Saga (Final Fantasy 1-lite.  No, I wish I wasn't kidding...)
12. Final Fantasy Legend 2 (One of the least polished games I've ever seen.  Nice core ideas, but egads did they screw shit up, and find ways to make the game near unbeatable.)
13. Xenosaga 3 (Even the scene of fail can't get this game to the worst.  Its gameplay is inoffensive, at least, I guess? And it has Virgil.)
14. Hoshigami (Horrible at like everything!  How the hell is this not last again?)
15. Persona 1  (See what I said about FFL2 having really bad polish?This game's polish is WORSE THAN FFL1's, let alone FFL2's.  Now, take that and splice it with all of Hoshi's other issues.  Interesting plot? Offset by the game's story telling style being atrocious to the point where its hard as hell to tell what's going on.  Its out right ugly, near unplayable, and the characters aren't worth much (I really don't see the Nate hype; oh wow he comes up with smart ideas! Except the ideas are more just common sense and lest we not forget the rest of the cast is a Silent Protaganist, MARK, a character who doesn't actually exist, and a 5th PC who is varies thus isn't allowed to have any actual relevance, gee, I wonder WHY Nate seems to be coming up with the smart ideas all the time...)...yeah, I feel like I can safely say this game is Sub-Hoshi.)
