Time to discuss hotel rooms!

As Hal previously mentioned, it is about 4 km from the main site of the con. Checking the site, it appears that the prices vary from about 117-137 USD per night. One-hundred-thirty-seven dollars per night gets a 2 room king suite with a sofa, while 117 USD gets a single king bed, and $127 gets two queen beds. This makes staying from the 22nd-26th about $500, United States dollars. With 4 people per room, this would be about 500/4 USD, or $125 per person, which is pretty reasonable.

Who is staying in a hotel room, and who is going to put the room under their name. We want to get a list of people here so we have all this fun stuff organized (DL? Organization? Surely you jest!)

I'd recommend adding your arrival and departure dates, that way folks that are coming in early or staying late can bunk with other folks that are doing the same.

If there are people leaving late and there aren't enough folks to fill a hotel room for the extra day or whatever, I can put up a couple of people at my apartment for a night, assuming you don't mind floor+blanket/sleeping bag for a night.

Hal asked me to put this in here even though we can't take anyone else, so hey. Tai, Tal, Gate, and I are splitting a room and I already have it reserved, checking in on Tuesday and checking out on Sunday.

I may be able to claim a 20% discount at La Quinta through my girlfriend's work account. I'll check into it and let people know within a day or two.

There's an Extended Stay less than a mile down the road from that La Quinta that costs $65/night for 2 double beds. Cost being a factor, I'm probably going to book that one instead of the LQ.

That'd be fine (I know the place in question, it's right next to my credit union). Didn't actually check the prices for them as the name seemed to indicate they wouldn't be as open (or as inexpensive) for shorter durations.

I like the Extended Stay Pricing better.

I'll reserve a room with my card - who is rooming with me? Probably people coming in the same day as me, I'd say, would be best!

Dunno if anyone else is coming Wednesday? If not we could split the extra day even and take on a thursday arrival later.

Since I'm being kinda flakey I'm mostly planning on just sleeping in my car during the con if I go. This will only really work out if I can use someone's shower in the hotel. VOLUNTEERS?!!?

Looks like everyone who is coming into OK's room is coming the same day as me, and one person is even leavnig the same day, so I think it makes sense for me to join in that room.

Meeple can probably take my spot. I'm gonna be booking a room at the ES too. If it's not too much trouble, OK, can I crash in your room the night of the 22nd and book my room for the 23rd-27th? That way I can host people coming in on the 23rd and also have people staying until the 27th crash there for the night as well after people leave.

Someone needs to book another room soon. I would, but my paycheck doesn't arrive until later this month and I'd be cutting it way too close in that instance :F

EDIT: Push comes to shove I might do that anyways, but I seriously need a few other people to book with or I ain't making it to DLC this year.

Booked my room in the Extended Stay. It's for the 23rd to the 27th, so other people who plan on leaving the 27th can crash there if need be. Current roomies for the con are as follows:

I have a room at the Extended Stay for 2 days (check in 24th Friday, check out 26th Sunday).

It will be myself, the wife, and the kid. I have room for one more person, preferably a hot girl who sleeps in the nude. *gets hit by wife*

If you stay with us, your share of the bill will be $40.
