Haha. Just realized that my 9/10 list had "Dragon Quest" at number 7. That is (obviously) supposed to be DQ8, not DQ1. >_> Also moved Tactics Ogre up to a 9.

D'whu? Didn't expect any reaction at all given that no one said anything as I was playing it. I try to keep things in perspective when playing older games. Of course, if I don't like it I won't make excuses for it, but if I like it, especially if I like it, certain limitations of the time are forgivable.

Shining Force 2 does nothing wrong. It's not wholly fantastic. The writing is weak but it's a classical setup with no hangups. The gameplay is simple enough to be enjoyable, and I had fun playing it. A 7/10 is the best it could hope for.

My only regret with Dragon Age is that they don't let you be enough of a bastard. I don't want to threaten Howe's family, I want to take him prisoner while I hunt down his family and murder them in front of him.
