D&D Whistle
« on: August 09, 2011, 03:06:02 PM »
OK. After trying and failing a few (several) times to run a D&D campaign, I'm ready to try again. However, this is mostly a tit-for-tat deal, because, more than anything, I want to PLAY 4e. So here's how this works:

Someone else will agree to DM a 4e game that I will play in.
I will DM 4e or GM a Mutants and Masterminds campaign, that the other person will play in.

Other people will join our respective campaigns.

For my campaign, the following information is crucial:

We will probably be using Maptool, and CERTAINLY be using SKYPE, because really, voices make everything better. What game y'all want to play is to be decided by my players. I'm pretty flexible. Being a DM every week just... burns me out, even when I'm not doing anything else. I think alternating weeks with folks'd make that a lot easier on me.

Mostly, DEAR GOD, I want to play D&D, and no one I know is cool enough to play with me. Help me, DL. You're my only hope.

I have no one interested, yet, so I can't really give you an answer!

I have no 4th ed rules.  Willing to run 3rd or some other wackiness like Charliequest.  Willing to play just about anything.

I can't DM anything but I would love to be part of a 4th edition campaign online, I have skype and can obtain maptools most likely. If you learn anything feel free to contact me at DTM200X@gmail.com

I've been looking forward to a good game for a long time as I live in the middle of nowhere currently!  ;D

As much as I'd like to try, two things notably keep me from doing so.

1: No skype-compatible headset

2: I tend to put way too much prepwork into anything D&D I try to run.   Insofar that I spend a hell of a lot of time merely trying to flesh out the world (and usually relevant [limited] races).  For that reason alone I'd probably do a bad job at GMing.
<+Nama-EmblemOfFire> ...Have the GhebFE guy and the ostian princess guy collaborate.
 <@Elecman> Seems reasonable.
