Shining Force fighters have traditionally gotten abused in the arena, but Slade seems like he could be quite the exception. Blessed with a fairly swift sword and surprisingly ridiculous strength for a wire-thin little rat, Slade has an appropriate set of tools he can use to crack the shell of this tortoise. Raijin isn't actually lightning elemental, despite all appearances, but it IS armor-piercing, which is nearly as good in this sort of fight. Of course, even better than that, in nearly all fights, is the Gisarme--a legendary sword that can bisect full-fledged bosses and more importantly, turtles. Blastoise on the half shell, anyone?
