Cristo vs Nina Wyndia
Meeplelard Nina has good defenses, high speed, a form of instant death, and can heal. Cristo has great defenses, reasonable speed, more reliable instant death, and just as much healing. Both lack damage. Seems fair, right? Well, no, see, Nina happens to be immune to Cristo's instant death, meanwhile, Cristo, for as unreliable as Nina's is, can't defend against Nina's Instant Death in anyawy. As high defenses as the Uppered Chancellor of Santeem's are, they do nothing when your enemy has a weapon that causes Instant Death, thus causing a fight that should last years to end in a reasonable time frame, making the crowd happy. The Trial of Albedo: The Reckoning Zenthor The battle itself was shockingly boring. A few blows thrown, ultimately ending in Albedo and his allies losing to the one-two-three punch of Nibelung Valesti V. 3, Impulse, and Vanish. But what happened next? It's the stuff that bad fanfics are made of. Anastasia grinned widely at the bloody corpses of Citan, Lynx, and her main target, Albedo. It wasn't that she enjoyed killing people. No, not at all. She was, however, pleased to be the only pedophile left in Godlike. That, and clearing the Valeria name while sullying it at the same time had a nice sense of pleasure about it. Shu lay somewhere off to the side, having been killed by one of Rosa's stray arrows. Not long after Lenneth and Rosa dragged Shu's body over to the rest of the corpses, the Assembly doors flew open, and Laharl, Overlord of the Netherworld and holder of the title "Satan", stepped through. Anastasia's grin nearly widened before Laharl gave her a "Don't even think about it" look. "You did your job well" Laharl said. "I'm surprised nobody noticed your little friend's ploy." "I'm not her 'little friend'." Choko said, and pulled off her face, revealing a red-eyed Crimson noble. "And which deception are you talking about?" "Your costume. You look ridiculous! You can see the zipper." As Laharl said this, Marivel had climbed entirely out of her Choko costume. "Aw," Anastasia cooed, "you two are so cute! Fighting like little lovers." "F, fool." Laharl snarled. "Anyway... it fooled those three. But... how did you get Lenneth and Rosa to agree to help you perverts with this?" "We didn't." Anastasia looked down at the bloody corpses on the ground. A moment of guilt passed her as Marivel spoke. "Quebley, Lucifer, you can go back to the manor now." Lenneth and Rosa nodded, returning to the forms of Marivel's golems, and transported out of the Assembly. "What? Where did you learn that?" Laharl looked shocked as he moved his eyes to Marivel. She smirked a bit and opened her mouth to answer, but Laharl interrupted. "No, on second thought, I just don't want to know." "We should probably finish this up before the senators come in and realize we just slaughtered their music idol." Anastasia motioned towards the doors, where pro-Albedo cheers were being shouted by the Dark Senators rallying outside. "You're right. We've finished each part of our bargain: I give you a reason for ousting the competition, and you get revenge for my daughter for me. Now, just to make the rest..." Laharl was interrupted. "Wait, how can Choko be you're daughter? You both look the same age." Marivel and Anastasia gasped in disbelief. "F, fools! I'm 1,313 years old. Why does nobody believe me when I tell them she's my daughter? You humans and Crimson Nobles are too hung up on looks." Laharl looked slightly indignant. "Anyway... Time to finish this. We'll never know, and frankly, we don't want to know. "And the others?" Marivel pointed at the remaining three corpses. "Oh, they'll be resurrected after I leave. They won't remember anything except for the fact that they lost the trial, and Albedo's now a prinny." Laharl looked down at Albedo, and again burst out laughing. "Oh, thank you." Anastasia felt a bit of relief knowing that the only one really affected by this was her rival. "You're such a good little Satan. I could just eat you up." Laharl, instinctively, screamed out, "Keep your sexy body away from me! Now get out of here. Our business is done!" Laharl stormed out through the doors. As he promised, the mutilated corpses of Albedo's lawyers reformed into living, albeit unconscious, characters. Anastasia and Marivel, thinking it best to leave before the three awoke, headed for the door, dragging Prinny Albedo behind them. On the way, Anastasia started talking. "You know, I think you overplayed Lenneth and Rosa's roles a bit, Marivel." "Oh, it's not like anyone besides us two and Laharl will ever know. Besides, Lenneth and Rosa are not the types to turn down the publicity of putting away a known pedophile, even if they didn't do it. And since we're the only ones who know about it, and Albedo won't talk, otherwise we'll just throw him at something... " Just as she said that, Chisato Madison blocked their way out of the Assembly.
