Season 16, Week 5
Ghaleon
(Lunar Series)

Consider the countless and formidable opponents who have fallen to Ghaleon in the arena; in this season alone, he has slain the Master of Time and a Great Dragon. Honestly, what can a vagrant girl with a scythe hope to accomplish by opposing the Magic Emperor? Even if it manages to break through Chaos Shield, her much-touted Tempest Dance will scarcely dent his armor while a string of Hell Waves demolishes the championship hopeful. As usual, Ghaleon's cunningly-arranged and notoriously effective spells will sweep him to a third title victory; more glory for the greatest dueller of all time.

After an exhausting season of outpacing fellow speedsters, Piastol now enters a match far more to her liking, where she'll be running circles around a noted slug. Even with Chaos Shield augmenting his already renowned durability, Ghaleon has little hope of withstanding Piastol's relentless flurry of blows. Deprived of his defensive game by Piastol's speed, Ghaleon will need to rely on his damage to outrace Tempest Dance, which is simply wishful thinking on the arrogant wizard's part. With the Godlike title almost within her grasp, the Angel of Death is fully prepared to fulfill the season's contract.

Ghaleon stood upon a podium, the cheers of his fans practically deafening him.

"Ghaleon the Champion!" "Ghaleon, ruler of the Role-Playing Game Duelling League!" "All hail Magic Emperor Ghaleon!"

"On behalf of all of the RPGDL, I, Cidolfas Orlandu, declare Ghaleon the third time champion of the Godlike Division, and further declare you to be upgraded to the Divine Class, where you, and you alone, shall reign, the eternal ruler of the RPGDL!"

"My lord Ghaleon, I was a fool to follow that Dragonmaster! I am your servant forever!" Luna cried, at his side.

"Long live Ghaleon! Long live Ghaleon! Long live Ghaleon!" The crowd screamed.

"Aren't you forgetting someone?" A strangely familiar voice asked Ghaleon.

"You...no! YOU ARE NOT REAL!" Ghaleon yelled at the person who had appeared behind him.

"No, I am more real than you, my friend. I am Magical Girl Ghaleon, and I am the one that truly deserves these awards, these shouts! I will enrapture the crowds with my singing voice, and crush all of those who oppose me! I will crush you beneath my high heels!" Said the Ghaleon in a pink, frilly dress, with a light, melodic voice.

"And now, it is time for you to leave. Goodbye!" Said Magical Girl Ghaleon, blasting Ghaleon with a wave of magical energy.

"NO! No! No! Noooooooo...." Ghaleon said, as his conciousness spiraled into the darkness for an unknowable span of time...

"So, how long has he been like this?"

"Ever since he learned that a dozen episodes of the anime "Magical Girl Ghaleon" had been given to the press before he could...ahem, stop the production of the series." Xenobia said.

"And that somehow, said dozen episodes had been leaked onto the internet..." Royce said, staring at the mumbling form of Ghaleon, huddled in a corner of the room. "He alternates between mumbling like that, screaming at nothingness, and putting on a dress and singing "I Feel Pretty"."

"Hmmm. Piastol's waiting. We should probably call the match."

"What is the other option?"

"Well...we...well, he's technically concious, and...has no objections to fighting, as such, so he could just be carried to the Arena."

"And beaten to a pulp by Piastol while he sings?" "Well, yes."

"What!?" Xenobia and Royce shrieked in unison.

"Do you want to question a judge?"

"Well..." "But...."

"Then shut up."

"But...we're just guest judges, though. We'd probably get barred from ever being guest judges again if we did something like that..."

"Wouldn't it be worth it?" Rolf Landale said, grinning.

"I...suppose so, thinking upon it." Pisaro said, smiling back.

"It would only be justice." Cyril said, laughing.

"It is a pity, Ghaleon. T'would appear thou hast made the wrong enemies, and that it shall cost you." Fou-Lu said, quietly smiling...

Ghaleon: 16
Piastol: 29

Seems pretty cut and dry to me. Piastol is noticebly faster than Ghaleon, and has sickening magic defense (She takes a mere 1 HP damage to the most powerful magic spells she has a WEAKNESS to, 0 to everything else). Ghaleon, even with Chaos Shield, isn't winning this one, especially since with every casting of Chaos Shield, he has to cast a useless Fate Storm.

Victory, Piastol.

I understand the match , and I've played , and beat both games plus the second game of Shadowhearts . I like both games , and characters , but i dont honestly think Piastol could beat someone whoA)slays gods one after another.B)Near the end can destroy the world[in human form]c)Has conquered gods that give him the power over , death & Rebirth. etc. With the power to destroy the world with a stray thought . With that said I do understand Piastol's strength , and that you are using Shadow Hearts 1 Yuri , but even so he also slayed the worlds technical God .Thank you...

If Ghaleon wins, the fanboys of just him run wild on this site.

He makes for boring matches, he should have lost to Timelord.

It was an unlikely setup for the climatic finals match. The twice-Champion of Godlike Ghaleon versus the mysterious Piastol, who had come from a 0-1 record to smash every opponent she faced up to this point.

But what made things truly interesting was the moods of the combatants, still smarting from their mud-soaked humiliation a few sore losers had inflicted upon them. And it was Ghaleon's pride in particular that been shattered almost beyond repair....

"Hey.... is that?"

"I think it is," responded Dragonmaster Alex to his blue-haired companion.

"His Magic Emperor outfit--mask and all. Wonder why he brought that thing out again..."

Kyle laughed. "Pansy probably couldn't bear to show his face, after what happened last round."

Jessica shrugged. "Ask him yourself Alex. He just teleported right behind Kyle."

"Gah!" Kyle jumped and looked behind him, but of course there was no one there. "Grr...."

Piastol showed up at the usual time, swinging her scythe impatiently. She did not have to wait long. Her opponent walked in from the other entrance only a few minutes later.

The (other, other) Angel of Death blinked. "Ghaleon?"

The masked figure nodded. "LET'S GET THIS OVER WITH, GIRL."

Why was he dressed like this? And why did he sound like Shigeo? These questions stuck in Piastol's mind as she leaped forward, swinging her scythe.

....And she kept wondering, as Ghaleon had forgotten one vital fact.

His Magic Emperor form was scrubby as all hell.

Poor guy, the mask isn't enough anymore--now he needs a paper bag.

Piastol is a moderately tough optional boss.
I can't grasp how she made it to Godlike,
let alone the Championship Bout.

Ghaleon wins,
but he is still just a paper champion.
