Season 16, Week 1

The hunter from Mota is looking to gun down a thief this week. He's got a lot to prove after being downgraded by one of his Algolian successors back in Season Six, and no two-bit crook is going to stand in his way. While Rudo is outsped by his opponent, he has the durability to withstand Krin's pathetic projectiles for a good, long time. The same cannot be said for Krin, as Rudo's Neishot will have no trouble cutting him down. If Krin's role in the fall of the Scarlet Moon Empire proved anything, it's that he has a sharp eye for spotting the best time to flee. The cowardly thief may just want to excercise that ability again this week with a painless forfeit.

It is fitting that Krin, a highly skilled thief, is in an ideal position to steal a win from a stronger opponent this week. While Rudo is clearly superior offensively, defensively, and, let's be frank here, mentally, Krin has one key advantage: he is very, very fast. Krin should be able to get several turns to Rudo's one, which means plenty of chances at a critical strike, and no matter how weak Krin may be, a well-aimed needle to Rudo's throat will hurt. If he can land two or three of these criticals, Krin can overcome his lack of skill and defeat a much stronger fighter. With a little luck and a post-match pocket check, Krin can steal both his first win and his opponent's wallet.

Historically, a thief's chief advantage in the DL would be his ability to steal his enemy's items, overcoming the disparity in power through redistribution of armament. So it's a damn shame that Krin is the one thief in RPGs who can't actually steal.

I think a quadriplegic baby can beat Krin in a fight.
