Season 2, Week 3
Necron
(Final Fantasy IX)

If Necron had any personality to speak of, he'd probably be chuckling at the thought of this match. After all, Ghaleon is used to being slower than just about everyone, but the Magic Emperor has never faced anything like the multi-turning terror that is Final Fantasy IX's much-loathed final enemy. Necron's best PC-killing moves, Grand Cross and Blue Shockwave, will be of little help here, but his repeated castings of Neutron Ring, along with Shell to reduce Ghaleon's damage, and Curaga to heal it, are almost certain to overwhelm the Magic Emperor. Ghaleon had better hope his Chaos Shield is good enough to survive a good half dozen Neutron Rings, because if it isn't, it'll be the Magic Emperor's time to die.

Ghaleon easily smashed Rolf last week, and this week turns to much a much stronger foe. The double-casting mage boasts powerful elemental spells, as well as Fate Storm for PCs, Chaos Shield to take a few hits, Hell Wave and Worm Crush for a little variety, and Siphon Soul for a little bit of healing. And Ghaleon will need that double-casting to stand a chance against the monstrously fast Necron. Will Ghaleon's double-casting and endurance allow him to take Necron's hits while dishing out his own in return?

If Necron can triple turn the fairly fast Zidane... Ghaleon will need to borrow a few tricks from Seymour on multi-casting to even have a chance.

Necron: 7
Ghaleon: 4

Necron no like elves. Elves cause bad results that make no sense.

Ghaleon look like elf.

Necron crush Ghaleon.

Necron know no elf will mess with this result.
