Season 15, Week 3
Morte
(Planescape: Torment)

Do robots have feelings? Although the quick answer in our world would be likely "No," Morte has a unique perspective. After all, is it not the goal of almost every RPG robot to become more human, to gain feelings and self-awareness? If that is the case, then Diekbeck should be just as susceptible to Morte's malevolent overtures as Nordom proved to be. Even if that's not the case, Morte still has his potent defenses to fall back on. A bucket of bolts ended his first run - the mimir isn't about to let that happen again.

Ever tried cursing at a computer? You can yell, scream, and even threaten to rip out its motherboard. The best insulter and troller in all the worlds can evoke no more than a loading sound out of a computer. What happens if cursing at a computer is all you can do, and the computer can hit back with Divine Judgment, avoid your attacks with ease, and heal for hours with it's deep reserves of Spirit Stones? Well.. you might as well just run in terror, much like Morte will after staring down the modern techological horror that is Diekbeck.

Unfortunately for Morte, this was the one fight where his foul mouth actually cost him the battle.

Oh, yes, Diek was affected by the string of sharp curses uttered from the Mimir's bony mouth, like any other being would be. Unfortunately for Morte, it had a slightly unexpected outcome...you see, Diekbeck's programming was originally that of a nanny-bot. Morte's string of curses and potty-talk eventually fried the robot's circuits, causing a major malfunction.

"Oh, it's getting hot!"

*BOOM*

Morte, along with the arena, went kaput. Also unfortunately for Morte, due to the explosion occurring only on account of Diekbeck's programming and not as an outside trick designed to destroy some key spectators, it was ruled, since pieces of Diek still remained in the arena while Morte was scattered to the winds, that Diekbeck be declared the winner.
