Season 15, Week 1
Landis
(Suikoden III)

Hee hee hee... looks like the Grim Reaper is standing behind Poco. If Landis' creepy conversation isn't enough to keep the young mageling at bay, then one would imagine that his fearsome scythe certainly will be. If Poco does show up for the fight, though, he's in for a nasty surprise - his magic will be dampened against Landis' innate resistance to sorcery, and even his copious healing won't save him if the winger strikes a lucky paralyzing blow. All signs certainly point to a glorious victory for the Winghorde this week.

Poco may not be the bravest soul around - in fact, he's usually a downright coward - but he comes into this match swallowing his fears and ready to fight. After all, he’s stared down uglier and darker demons than Landis before. If Poco can get his hands on a Cure All, he can render his hideous opponent’s main trick, paralysis, useless. After that, the little musician should easily be able to overcome his winged foe’s scythe attacks with buffing, healing, and smacking Landis upside the head with a full percussion orchestra.

Music is universal. It's gentle tones and rousing sounds have started wars, made people fall in love, and carried histories for scattered peoples.

What it doesn't do is stop status attacks from large scythes.
