Having effortlessly dispatch a minor demon, High Summoner Yuna now comes face to face with... a half-insane, power-hungry, blue-haired mage. Deja Vu for the saviour of Spira, but this spell-slinging maniac should be little more than a speed bump. With her powerful barriers and healing, she can stay in this fight as long as she pleases. With her devastating Holy spell, she can hit Loki's low magic defence. And with her parade of eight Aeons and outstanding agility, she can ensure a world of pain for the trickster god, and advance to the semi-finals without a scratch. |

The Trickster God has little to fear from his opponent this week. Even should his High Summoner opponent manage to call an Aeon, all it takes is a simple casting of Indiscriminate to send it back to whence it came. All Loki needs to do is survive the few paltry and lackluster attacks the Aeons throw at him before clearing the path to Yuna. Given Loki's HP and resistance to damage in general, such a goal is not out of his grasp, and once Yuna is without a summon, she will feel the full power of the Dragon Orb enhanced god--a foe even the Aesir could not handle. |
Meeplelard "By the Power of the Orb...DIE!" Loki exclaimed, as his might Dragon Orb spell came down upon Anima, crushing the mighty Aeon. "Ahahahaha. Was that your best Aeon, Summoner? And here I was expecting an actual fight." Loki said cheerfully. "I will defeat you...I must defeat you. You may have taken down one of my strongest Aeons, but I still have my others to back me up!" "Oh, nonsense. If I can take down your strongest, any of those weaklings you send after me should be child's play" Loki grinned "Now, you can give up, and I'll spare your life, or continue fighting me, and succeed in nothing but granting me more pleasure in destroying yet another one of you" "Well, there is one move I've been willing to try out...but I'm not sure you'd be appreciative of it" "Oh, and what would that be, 'milday summoner'" "A new Aeon, of sorts, of course. Would you like to see" Loki was of course intrigued. And of course, what could be better than crushing the hopes of another helpless female as he destroyed her newest trick? "Very well, try me!" "Alright" Yuna started her summoning ritual, and at the end, a seemingly humanoid girl who was entirely pink appeared on the scene. Loki, of course, knew all to well who that was, having dealt with her plenty in the past "No, it can't be...not you! That's illegal!" "Not really. See, she is half esper, which is the same thing as being half aeon, and there's nothing illegal about me summoning aeons. I told you I wouldn't give up so easily" "C...curse you!" Several Ultimas later, Loki was splattered across the floor, and Yuna named the winner. After the match... "You know, you didn't need my help to beat Loki, so why did you ask?" said Terra "Oh, I just thought it'd be funny playing a trick on the trickster god himself" Yuna said, smiling. "You have to admit, you must have found his response to your arrival quite hilarious" Yuna: 43 |
