Season 14, Week 3
Magus (Janus Zeal)
(Chrono Trigger)

With his previous foe nothing but an icy splatter on the surface of Althena's Palace, the Prince of Zeal now faces a grave threat from far away. Magus will need his elemental barrier to be stout and strong to resist the rain of powerful spells Necron will launch, and he'll have to make the most of his potent Ice 2, Fire 2, Dark Bomb, and the legendary Dark Matter spells to keep up. With his shielding, however, it's a given and a gurantee that Magus will triumph.

Spin your barrier, Magus. Hold it up high and proclaim it to be the ultimate defense. The vilest of creatures is here to expose your lies for what they are. Meteor shall smash your defenses into paste, and what's left of your puny barrier is nothing but bait for Flare. The turns will come crashing down faster than you can hope to defend against, and history will soon forget your name - just as it forgot all the other fools who dared challenge the might of Necron.

Cosmetor
Magus beating Necron? Please. Necron has a spell for every element he might need, and insane speed. Plus, he's an endgame boss. This is one match that shows just how far apart Godlikes can be.

Magus (Janus Zeal): 20
Necron: 43

Dark Lord Magus
It was a dark day in the DL Arena, clouds covering the usually fairly well lit Arena, although the bad weather was the fault of a certain miscalculating Felpoolian, they made for the perfect setting in an epic battle between the forces of darkness. Magus, ever the one for a dramatic entrance, floating into the arena. His cloak flapped against the wind, and in a single swift movement he pushed it aside and smirked. He was feeling rather confident this round, after all, his foe was some kind of...thing that liked casting magic a lot, and if there's anything the Mystic King can handle it's magicks. Even without his powerful magical defense, he had his handy barrier to fall back on too, all in all, he didn't see how the beast stood a chance against him.

Then Necron entered the Arena, looked at Magus and said "HELLO TINY MAN! ARE YOU THE THING I MAKE GO SQUISH NOW?" Noticably confused, Magus blinked at the giant creature before him and simply said "Wha?" Necron proceeded to nuke him with a tactical meteor, indeed, squishing him.

Lesson to all of us: Necron is a cheap, cheap bastard. Poor, poor squished Magus.
