Season 14, Week 2
Mallow
(Super Mario RPG)

The young monarch of Nimbus Land faces an opponent who bears an uncanny resemblance to himself this week; like Mallow, Chu-Chu is a puffball mage who relies on nature-based spells and healing to win matches. Of course, this only accentuates Mallow's utter superiority to his hapless opponent. With his better damage, healing, and durability, it won't take long for Mallow to remove his foe's one advantage - Chu-Chu may be cuter than Mallow, but not after repeated electroshocking from Mallow's devastating lightning magic.

Chu-Chu is one of the few fighters who can vie for the title of "Cutest Light" and one of the even fewer who don't mind that. She begins her quest for the title this week, facing the prince from the clouds. The two fighters are rather similar, with various elemental spells and healing at their disposal. However, Chu-Chu's abilities are less taxing on her magic reserves, meaning that long after Mallow's run dry, the Forest Dances and Earth Gnomes will still be flying. It may take a while, but Chu-Chu has every reason to be confident in her victory.

Dark Lord Magus
Finally, we get to decide what's superior...a big ball of marshmellowy fluff or a big ball of pink fur...There's some logic here..have you ever tried to get marshmellow goo out of fur? Chu-chu would run away screaming in terror at the mere thought of trying to get that gunk out of her fur. Thus, Mallow wins by default, prooving once and for all that stickiness prevails over cuteness.

Mallow: 49
Chu-Chu: 7

ChuChu...The bane of Xenogear's existance. The representation of all that is evil and bad in anime. Fluffy and pink, I hate to admit it...Mallow would lose. Deus is dead, thank goodness, because he would be striking me and ChuChu to the ground if he heard me utter such a decleration.
