Season 14, Week 2
Edgar Roni Figaro
(Final Fantasy VI)

Having finally recovered from the brutal Time Gate burns inflicted upon him by Feena a few seasons back, the young King of Figaro returns! Against him is a lout who also lives a life of luxury, so Edgar won't have too many problems trying to think like his foe. In addition, Gilder is reliant on his gunplay to do any damage, meaning it'll hit one of Edgar's strong points: his physical defense. Surely the quick-witted liege has already thought of the match's most delicious irony, as well. After all, what better way to dispatch an Air Pirate than with an Air Anchor?

Gilder and Edgar are two of the most well known and respected ladies men around. With natural good looks, solid fighting skills, and charm oozing from their every pore, both command the respect of women everywhere by simply showing up and acting like themselves. Gilder has the edge in this battle of charm, though. While Edgar's a king of a powerful country, Gilder has a an airship. What woman can resist that? Once Gilder shows Edgar and the arena The Claudiaa, the swarms of adoring fans will more than likely crush Edgar and hand the win to the real stud, Gilder.

Monkeyfinger
For all the praise tricks such as Fate Storm, Havok Wing, Neutron Ring, Earthquake, and even the dreaded Overdrive + Stasis Rune loop get, none of them are without some kind of flaw; there are very few things in existance that can truly be called a guaranteed win.

...Not being Gilder is one of them.

Edgar Roni Figaro: 39
Gilder: 9

Cosmetor
Edgar was hyped up for his match. He had a strategy that he was sure would work. As soon as the match began, he used his Air Anchor gadget on Glider.

Glider shrugged and shot him in the face.

Then he exploded and Edgar won.

The moral of this story: Fancy guns and flash poses are one way to get ahead in life, but it's hard to argue with an exploding anchor to the face.
