Season 14, Week 1
Raven
(Fire Emblem: The Blazing Sword)

Typically the main character is the strongest character in his or her game, able to defeat any of his underlings should they face him. This is not the case in Fire Emblem however, as Raven will gladly prove in this week's battle against Eliwood. To put it simply, Raven is typically superior in HP, power, and skill, and speed, the area that will help him most. Raven's speed is, on average, 4 points higher than Eliwood's. That is exactly the number needed for double-turns in Fire Emblem, meaning Raven will get two attacks for every one of Eliwood's. With Raven's superior damage and durability, this guarantees two things: A beaten Eliwood, and a beaten trend.

Despite being their leader, and the successor of the legendary Roland, Eliwood of Pherae is often seen as the weakest of the three Lords, which means he has a lot to prove this week, fighting one of his own men. Raven presents an uphill fight for the young leader, as the angsty mercenary is much faster, allowing him to attack twice as often. Still, this match is far from over. From the skills that saw him lead his forces, to his legendary sword Durandal, to his ability to avoid the dreaded Fire Emblem criticals, it is the Lord who holds the trump cards in this match. It won't be easy, but Eliwood is ready to prove why he is the leader, and Raven the follower.
