Season 14, Week 1
Lavos
(Chrono Trigger)

Lavos returns to wreak havoc on Godlike once again. Nothing will get in its way of total destruction, not even a villain of its caliber like Necron. Lavos's characteristic lack of mercy won't be changed by the unlovable Necron, and its planet-killing powers will surely smash the Lovecraftian being to pieces! While his opponent is sitting around waiting for his turns to come, Lavos will blast it with a stream of damage that will leave even this hardened Godlike befuddled. Of course, the parasitic alien won't be satisfied with a single win - he's got his sights on a Godlike championship (not to mention world destruction).

The Eternal Darkness has returned to the arena. Woe to any who should cross his path. His first victim is another world-destroying evil much like himself, albeit a far more simplistic one. Lavos's more simplistic battle plans shall be its undoing, as even the parasite's strongest attacks will be unable to deal with Necron's myriad strategies. Known for getting much more turns than just about anyone he fights, Necron will start by setting up Protect and Shell to temper his opponent's damage, then hit back with Meteor, Flare, and Neutron Ring. The bringer of darkness can even heal himself in a pinch. Necron is back, and all of Godlike should tremble in fear before its eventual champion.

Dark Lord Magus
I consider Necron complete trash compared to Lavos as a villain, in the DL, however, I consider Necron to be an out-turning punk. Poor Lavos, being matched against a being of pure annoyingness.

Lavos: 15
Necron: 39

Jo'ou Ranbu
It seemed like a good battle. Both bosses are beings of utmost power that can destroy entire worlds. Both of them have absolutely no personality. Both of them are often scoffed at best and scorned as an average. At their worst, we have full-on rallies on Eastern Europe against their sinful existence (albeit not on the same token as Zidane, but that's another matter altogether). Everything appointed this match as very interesting.

Except for the fact that Lavos utterly sucks in battle, like being a giant one-eyed astronaut rooster wasn't enough for him. Necron, despite being a creature of freakish cuteness and absolutely no relevance, with Kefka-esque durability to boot, doesn't. So, in a battle of two "villains" that are completely forgettable, you just have to give a nod to the one who can do things other than cluck, suck with magic and throw fairly large stones at an enemies as their best. Game, set, match, Necron. And I didn't even mention how the "Eternal Darkness" title is fairly cooler than "Chokey Chicken From The Moon".
