Ness
(Earthbound) 		 
The psychic wonder from Onett makes his return to the RPGDL. Determined to show he deserves his high ranking, He'll be going all out to defeat Berle this week. Fortunately, this should be no difficult task. With his legendary durability backed up by full healing and a brutal defense buff, surviving Berle's assault will be no problem. Ness will be free to smash the Wise Man with his Legendary Bat whenever an opening in Metaguard shows itself.

 The Wise Man has returned to do battle in the great tournament after a long absence. Godlike has changed much since his battles of yore, with many new entrants making a mark on the division. Ness is one such foe, bringing the best of Eagleland's PSI powers to engage Berle in combat. That doesn't matter, though; Meta Guard will prevent a single strike from Ness's bat from roughing up Berle, and it's all swordwork from there until he coasts to a win.

Otter
In Earthbound, what character most closely resembles Berle? That's right: Starman Junior. Ness laughs off Berle's damage and pummels him when Meta-Guard drops. Like his counterpart, Berle will prove nothing more than a warmup for our favorite psychokinetically-inclined tyke.

Kanos
Berle is a crappy boss with a temporary invincibility gimmick. Ness is the most durable character in his game and has full healing, awesome attack magic, and devastating physical attacks. Poor Berle.

Stampede
Ness doesn't even NEED to attack Berle. He just has to put up Shield Gamma and watch as Berle does equal amounts of damage to himself and Ness. Ness then banks on the fact he can full-heal himself about a jillion times and rolling HP to pick up the win.
