Laharl cocked his head and looked down at the Prinny that had just barged into his throne room.

"Prinny, you dare to command me? I am Laharl, the Overlord! Show me the respect I deserve!"

"But Dood! There's this guy..." The Prinny's words were cut off midsentence as the doors to the throne room slammed open again.

"That's the guy that attacked the castle, Dood!" said the excited Prinny.

"What? This human dare attack MY castle?!"

"Your castle?" said Darin, barely hiding a contemptuous smirk. "I'd been told that the Overlord was just some child, but this is better than I had expected!"

"Ha! I am Laharl the Great! Overlord of all the Netherworld! Who are you, human, that you think you could defeat me!"

"I am Darin of Laus, rightful ruler of all Elibe!"

"Y'know," interjected Etna, "for the ruler of some human place, you seem awfully dead."

"Bah! My allies were afraid of my power, and left me for those Ostian and Pheraean dogs! But, I'll show them all! I'll get an unstoppable army of demons after I defeat you and become Overlord... Overlord! Overlord!!! AHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!"

That was the final straw for Laharl. "Y-You barge into my castle, try to take my title and then you steal my lines! That's it! Prepare to face the wrath of an Overlord!

  • Darin becomes Ruler of the Netherworld!
  • Etna finishes off the winner and claims the title for herself.

You know, Etna strikes me as the only person in this bonus match with half a brain. Etna waits until they're duelling dramatically on a rickety bridge over a lava pit (since where else would be the ideal place to duel for overlord?) and then she cuts the ropes to the bridge. Game. Set. Match.
