Season 11, Week 4
Luis Virgil
(Xenosaga: Der Wille Zur Macht)

Having put away a Godlike champion, Virgil is now well on his way to a fine rookie run. Like Albedo, his current opponent is a speed demon to rival Virgil himself. And while it's questionable whether Virgil's flying form will escape the worst of Melfice's devastating slashes, he has no reason to be afraid; after all he enjoys a damage war as much as any. With Spectre Wave and Flare Wing to augment the damage of his trademark Eternal Storm to outstanding levels and a high chance of reducing enemy damage thanks to his agile Gnosis body, the man in blue is ready to give the man of blue hair a serious run for his money.

With a god and a goddess among his latest victims, Melfice has proven that even the greatest of fighters can't stand in the way of Valmar's glory - and Virgil's unlikely to break that pattern. Virgil's biggest claim to fame, his physical immunity, is rendered worthless here; Wailing Soul Slash ignores range of all types, meaning that Melfice hits hard and hits first. As if that weren't enough, Melfice's own durability seals the deal; the Horn of Valmar is hardly the toughest fighter to grace godlike, but he's a good deal above the frail Virgil. With Wow, Speedy, and Diggin' to make his advantages even more pronounced, Melfice is already looking forward to a second appearance in the Godlike finals.

"Virgil!?" Melfice shouted out as he entered the arena. "Bwhahahahahaha! My opponent's name is Virgil?!"

"You'd do well to bite your tongue" Virgil snarled from across the arena. "Don't get to overconfident: I need to see you despair before I'm through with you..."

With that, Virgil transformed into his really freaky flying bug/bird form, and flew high above the ground. "Ha! You can't reach me here, can you? You'll be easy as shooting..."

Virgil was cut short as he saw Melfice pull out a red bullfighting flag. A quick flick of Melfice's wrist had the cape fluttering softly in the air. Virgil stared, and rage boiled up inside of him. "Red...red....red....I'M BLUE DAMNIT!" he screamed, as he flew straight towards Melfice and the flag. As he neared the Horn of Valmar, Melfice sidestepped, tossing the flag right in Virgil's way. The now Man in Red crashed headfirst into the spectator stands, knocking several hundred innocent bystanders to the ground, and disqualifying him from further DL competition.

Melfice grinned, and turned to walk out of the arena, ready to take the Godlike crown for his own.
