Season 11, Week 3
Ramsus, Kahran
(Xenogears)

Ramsus faces a much tougher fight this week than against Sari. Sasarai is a mage with an excellent selection of damage spells, just the thing to normally take out the Gebler commander. However, for all of Sasarai's magical talents, he's both slow to the punch and horribly weak to physicals. Ramsus's speed and power means that he has an easy heal lock against his frail opponent, and Sasarai lacks even simple evasion to stop Ramsus's attacks. While it'll require more effort than last week, Ramsus should have no real problems in taking out the mageling -trash- and move onto the next round.

Sasarai and his opponent could have a lot to talk about outside the arena, both of them being tools grown to serve another's ends. In battle, though, it's the differences that matter, and the most important is this: if there's one thing Kahran Ramsus doesn't like dealing with, it's high-powered attack magic. Warriors are his preferred fare, and a physical fighter is what Sasarai most emphatically is not. An S-rank earth mage, Sasarai can cast his spells quickly and effectively. A couple blasts of Land of Eternity will surely shake up the Gebler commander, Perfect Human or no. Of course, he'll need to survive Ramsus's physical onslaught long enough.

Sasarai.. a classic heavy mage. Great damage, and magic defense to kill for. However, his physical durability isn't much short of appalling, and Ramsus is fast enough to make him wish he had some actual casting speed.

Congrats, Sas. You just lost to someone who's best known for for being antiphysical.

Ramsus, Kahran: 22
Sasarai: 12
