Season 10, Week 5
Magus (Janus Zeal)
(Chrono Trigger)

Magus once again has proved that he can win matches where all the odds are stacked against him. His defeat of the Final Aeon was a testament to his amazing luck and skill and he'll be depending on that luck and skill to carry him on to another win this week. Ryu's mighty G. Dragon is quite the formidable attack, but, as always, Janus of Zeal is not without a plan. Granted, his plan is quite simple; continuously cast Black Hole and hope that the dark vortex of energy will swallow up the dragon boy. It's a basic plan, but it's got a good chance of working, considering the dragon boy's unfamiliarity with temporal magics. Magus has faced greater odds than this before, so though it looks stacked against him, the master sorcerer of Zeal is sure to come out ahead and secure his first Heavy championship here at the RPGDL.

It's been a long road for Ryu, but after out-thundering the Blue Lightning, out-powering Justin, and besting the lord of the giants, Ryu has just one final obstacle to overcome. His opponent in the Heavy Finals is none other than the renowned Prince of Zeal, Magus. Though the prospect of fighting Magus would be daunting to most, Ryu is hardly worried. With his signature G. Dragon attack, he has a very good chance of felling the wizard in a single blow. And even if his ultimate attack fails to obliterate the mystic, the shockwave will have significantly weakened the sorcerer's barriers, giving Ryu the opening he needs to perform a severe physical beatdown on the frail mage. Ryu isn't ready to back down from a chance at joining his brothers in Godlike, so he'll be putting his all into this fight, which means that Magus had better watch out.

The only way to be stronger than a badass with a shady past, i.e. Magus, is to be completely emotionless. As a silent main character, Ryu is completely emotionless.

...Also: G.Drgn, Guts.

Ryu: 24

This one is a little bit closer. Magus comes out on top, but Ryu would have a chance outside the world of strict RPG fighting. Magus' superior speed allows him to move first. Dark Matter takes out Ryu before he moves.

Meeplelard
Magus looked read up on Ryu, to see what he was up against. He read that Ryu was the son of a human Priest, and a Dragon, making him half Dragon. Magus now attempted to recall if a Dragon was anything to worry about, since he's fought some oddball opponents in the past. His defeats were at the hadns of:
A frog holding the legendary, Masamune with the help of a Spikey Haired Hero, a Robot from the Future, Tomboyish Princess, and arrogant Inventor.
A giant turtle from outspace, with powers enough to wipe out entire planets after feeding on them for 65,001,999 years
The world renowned Female General of Alexandria who is famous for never having lost a fight

Well, Ryu wasn't a Frog, nor was he a turtle, and he certainly wasn't a girl, so Magus went tino the fight confident...

Imagine how suprised he was when Ryu unleashed his trademark G. Dragon, and smacking Magus half way accross the planet with its might blast.

It was at this point, Magus realized he should focus on the matches at hand instead of previous losses...
