Season 10, Week 5
Ghaleon
(Lunar Series)

Once again, the Magic Emperor has made his way to the finals. And once again, he faces the same opponent he fought all the way back in Season Six, where he won his second Godlike championship in a row. He emerged victorious against Albedo once before, and should easily be able to do it again. Backing up his considerable defenses with Chaos Shield, and leading off with the devastating Hell Wave and his brutal double-castings of powerful magicks, it looks like Ghaleon is in the perfect position to secure a third Godlike title. Once again, it's Albedo's "Time to Die", and Ghaleon shall be the one administering the execution.

Once again two Godlike fighters have made it to the finals, and once again the two Godlikes are Magic Emperor Ghaleon and Albedo, the self-proclaimed Pedo of Pop. Although Albedo may have lost to Ghaleon back in Season Six, Albedo plans to not let history repeat itself. While he won’t be able to inflict confusion or destroy Ghaleon’s MP, Albedo will be running circles around the Magic Emperor after boosting up his speed, giving him plenty of time to be able to charge up and unleash his Fallen Angel attack upon Ghaleon before he can do too much damage. This time around, Albedo will make Ghaleon taste the flames of hell!

The arena stood still. Magus, the mighty sorceror, had fallen to Ryu, and it had stunned the audience. As Amy Sage and Hugh Thompson of the RPGDL Medical Support Squad raced out to pick up the pieces of the splattered sorceror, Albedo stood waiting in the wings.

"Finally" he whispered. "It's time"

Indeed, he was right. Not but a few minutes later, Rikku's voice rang out over the loudspeakers. "Alright! Now it's time for the match you've all been waiting for, the rematch between Albedo and Ghaleon for the Season Ten Championship Title! Everyone, give your warmest welcome to Godlike finalists Albedo and Ghaleon!"

The crowd roared with excitement, and it was all that Ghaleon could do to contain his joy. Easily, another championship was in his grasp. As he walked out to the arena proper to face his would-be opponent, he smirked: what could possibly go wrong?

At the opposite end of the arena, Albedo made his way out of the waiting area, and faced down his opponent. The crowd immediately died down, and watched as the two engaged in what looked to be a staring contest. After a minute, Ghaleon spoke up:

"Fool!" he yelled, his voice full of haughty confidence. "You've failed once before to defeat me, and yet you still wish for your own death in front of the denizens of the entire RPG multi-verse?"

Albedo cackled his usual maddening laugh. "We'll see, then!" he said, staring down his opponent.

At about that time, Wakka started making his way out from the announcer's booth towards the centre of the arena. "Alright, ya'" he said, looking back and forth between the two fighters, "keep it clean, and don't blow each other into pieces so small we can't find them. Got it? Good. Three, Two, One...GO!"

With that, the fight began.

Ghaleon immediately warped backwards toward his end of the arena, and unleashed his renowned Hell Wave at his white-haired opponent. The crowd gasped as the white beam of energy flew out from Ghaleon's palm and right towards Albedo was.

Or, to be more precise, where Albedo had been standing. The nimble URTV was way ahead of his less responsive opponent, and had already crossed behind his opponent. From there, he lept forward towards the Magic Emperor, throwing a flurry of punches into Ghaleon's face, stomache, arms and other sections of his body. The Magic Emperor held off a few of the blows, but the speed at which they came eventually overwhelmed even his formidable endurance, and he proceeded to take a severe beating.

"Ahahahahahahahaha!" Albedo laughed, as his last punch knocked the Magic Emperor to the ground. "What's this they say about the tortoise beating the hare? It appears the tides have been turned!"

But Ghaleon was not out yet. Holding out his hand, he readied a spell, and, as the URTV jumped down towards him in an attempt to finish him off, Ghaleon's voice rang with a cry of "Inferno!".

Scorching flames flew from Ghaleon's hands, burning Albedo knocking him onto the ground. Ghaleon slowly got up, put his hand into his cloak, and pulled out his sword. He walked up to the now grounded Albedo, and readied his blade with both his hands.

"Time to die, Pedo Boy!" he yelled, and brought his sword plunging down towards his enemy.

His sword, unfortunately for him, never made it to Albedo's body. With a quick gasp for breath, the URTV screamed "It's over!", clasped his fingers, and pointed at Ghaleon, unleashing his ultimate Fallen Angel attack. The shockwave knocked Ghaleon to the other end of the arena, and sent his sword flying into the air. Ghaleon slammed into the opposite wall, and slumped down, visibly in pain.

Albedo got up on his feet, and slowly limped over to his enemy. Ghaleon, battered and bruised, but still alive, slowly attempted to struggle to his feet. "Do you...*cough* really think...*cough* that this is...over? *cough*"

Albedo stopped, and smiled. "I do believe it is"

"Wha?" Ghaleon muttered, but was cut short as his chest was pierced...by his own errant blade.

The crowd was stunned. For nearly a minute, the entirety of the DL was in silence. Then, it was as if the whole world had erupted in cheering for the new Godlike champion. Albedo had done it: he had beaten his nemesis and silenced his detractors. Victory never tasted so sweet.

Ghaleon: 15
Albedo: 16

Hospital Staff: I'm sorry to inform you that Albedo...his head has been shot off, and he cannot compete today.

Ref: So what? He has his head shot off every 20 minutes.

Hospital Staff: Well you see, he tried to rape Alma again, but Ramza borrowed Mustadio's gun and shot Albedo in the head...so he's here and recuperating...I'm sorry he cannot compete today...HEY YOU OVER THERE, QUIET DOWN!

Faint voice of Albedo: Come here ma nurse peche, let me cleanse your body and you can cleanse mine. Ahahahaha!

Everyone in the stadium: O_o

Albedo's father (Hospital Staff): Shut ur trap, you're supposed to be faking death so you don't have to get your ass kicked by Ghaleon again, not playing with more of your robotic 'dolls'

Albedo's father: I'm really sorry, he just can't compete today, bye! *click*

Ghaleon sighs as he is declared the Season 10 Godlike champion.

Ghaleon: But I can still have fun! *Double casts Hell Wave on the audience*

Sir Chris
It's Ghaleon... I mean how can you even vote for his opponent? Have you not played his game?

Ghaleon wins, hands down. He's got high stats all around and his magic skills are top notch. Furthermore, while Ghaleon likes being dramatic, Albedo is an overconfident fool who'd leave himself wide open. Ghaleon is also incredibly durable and, while we're at it, could teleport out of any danger and he has incredible spells for all occasions. I say Albedo winds up as a battery for the Grindery.

Poor, poor Albedo. Poor mistaken Albedo.
