Season 10, Week 4
Magus (Janus Zeal)
(Chrono Trigger)

Fresh from his victory over Demi in a match that likely set records as the longest in DL history, Magus now faces an opponent that threatens to surpass that singular distinction! Jecht is renowned throughout the league for his incredible durability, and Magus himself thrives on his massive defense score and counter-attacks. In any case, Magus has little to worry about in this battle. Jecht has little choice but to provoke Magus' counters, and while he can survive many of them, that damage will continue to build up, handing Janus Zeal the win in this very long war of attrition.

Jecht has advanced to the semifinals, and is now more confident than ever (if such a thing is possible). His opponent takes greatly reduced damage from his attacks, but that hardly matters. Jecht himself has a HP score impressive even by Godlike standards, and massive MDef that cuts Magus' already lacking damage in half. Even better, Jecht becomes stronger after losing a third of his HP, while Magus' defensive barriers shut down below 50% of his life. Jecht is out to prove that he's the best Heavy there is, and it looks like not even one of the division's best sorcerors can stop him.

Jecht, the gigantic Final Aeon, stood gloating over the diminutive Prince of Zeal.

"Bwhahaha! I'm the best, you pale little pretty-boy. What makes you think you can beat me?"

Magus stood, and smiled. Out of his cape he pulled a small bag, from which he took out bottle after bottle of assorted booze: Smirnoff, Jack Daniels, Tequila, among others. Jecht stood in awe, his mouth watering.

"All yours," Magus said, "if you forfeit the match. It's a lifetime supply of alcohol."

A few minutes and several dozen bottles later, Jecht lay unconscious on the ground, yet another failed AA member. And somewhere in the stands, a blonde-haired teenage cried out in frustration at the drunk man sprawled on the ground.
