Season 10, Week 1
Ghaleon
(Lunar Series)

Magic Emperor Ghaleon, two-time Godlike champion and highest ranked dueller of the League, faces a very simple - and laughably easy - match as he faces the recently upgraded Chaz. Ghaleon's defenses and massive HP, along with the ultimate defensive spell in the form of Chaos Shield, render him virtually invulnerable to anything Chaz could possibly throw to him. At the same time, His endless array of doublecasted spells will spell eventual doom for his opponent. A few castings of Hell Wave will pave the path to victory for him and start the road to yet another championship.

One of Algol's greatest heroes faces a harsh challenge against Ghaleon this week. Although Chaz easily gets the drop against Ghaleon, one shot of Megid won't come close to being fatal against the Magic Emperor. When Ghaleon does go, Chaz will have to figure out some way to break through Chaos shield and devise a way to get past Hell Wave after Hell Wave. All is not lost, though; Chaz faced bleaker odds when staring down Zio, Lassic, and then the Profound Darkness itself. Victory isn't out of the question for the earnest young man.

Lord Windscar
Ghaleon is a Boss that can kill OHKO most PC's with Fate Storm, and Chaos Sheild to protect him from the vast majority of magic.

Chaz is a PC that can kill most PC's with explode and deal decent damage with Megid.

Wait...did I just say that Chaz is a PC? Chaz, say hello to doublecasted Fate Storm. (Overkill appears above Chaz and Ghaleon earns an extra 9999 EXP)

Ghaleon: 40
Chaz Ashley: 4

Before the match, Chaz was taking some nice rest, in the luxury of what is the God Like quarters of the RPGDL. Having won his way up there, he felt he might as well take this new division for all its worth. He didn't feel like checking up on what his opponent can do, just felt confident he'd win it anyway.

Around this time, he was approached by a young woman.

"So, your the new PC in God Like, eh? I hear your fighting Ghaleon first round"

"Ah, your Celes Chere, aren't you? Heavy Champ of season 4?"

"Yes. I...though I might give you some pointers about fighting him..."

"Oh? What could you give me in advice? Say, didn't you fight him your only match in this division, losing horribly?"

"Well, yes, but that's what I came to tell you. Your best off just not showing up for the match, and avoiding the pain altogether."

"What?"

"Look, no matter how you look at it, you have no chance of winning this match. I learned this before my Match, and my ego got the best of me, and I paid for it. its best you just not show up"

"Oh, I get it. You just don't want PS4 to strike another victory while your game doesn't win, is it? HA! Nice try, well, excuse me, I ahve a match to win"

"...well, can't say I didn't warn him..."

Chaz, on his way out, bumped into a formerly dead, now living Legend of Algol, Mr. Rolf Landale himself.

"Watch yourself, where do you think your going?"

"I'm off to beat Ghaleon, fo course. I've beaten the Profound Darkness, a simple task like beating a Magic Emperor shouldn't be hard..."

"You'd think that. Let me tell you something. He's not anything like you faced before. I went in there fighting him with everyone I had...and was beaten before I realized the fight began. Frankly, reading the match up, your in no better situation than I was."

"Let me guess, he has strong attacks, and such, right? I happen to be prepared with lots of healing, I'll win" With that, Chaz left

Rolf shook his head "Youth these days, when will they learn?"

Chaz entered the match Confident, his opponent Ghaleon, waiting thier patiently.

"So, your my opponent, is it? Well, I expect a good fight from the Heavy Champ, Space Boy, if your all your cracked up to be"

"Your evil ways must be stopped, Ghaleon, you won't win another championship!"

The bell rang...

"I bet you I can counter anything you throw at me. I'll let you get a free shot"

"Very well..." With that, Ghaleon fired off a Hell Wave at Chaz

Chaz survived the attack fine, stronger than anything he's faced yet, given its a new league, but nothing scary. Healing his wounds, he smiled, and then gave Ghaleon a nice Cross Cut in the face...

Only to see Ghaleon not even flinch at the attack. Leaping back, he was a bit a worried. "how...you didn't even feel my attack?"

"I'll tell you what I told all those other foosl who took me on the first round. God LIke is a much different league, my friend. Give up, while you still value your life"

"Fat chance! Megid!" He shouted firing it at Ghaleon. Ghaleon looked a bit crisp, but got back up fine.

"So that's your best attack, is it? Hmph. That other Algolian Hero, Rolf's, was far more impressive." Ghaleon said. "And I'm afraid it didn't save him"

"Your trying to mess with me, aren't you!"

"No, I'm just trying to teach you a lesson." With that, Ghaleon charged a nice purple Orb in his hand "I'm afraid I must end this now"

"Bring it on..."

"Ha ha ha ha. If you insist...TIME TO DIE!" Ghaleon shouted, firing off his infamous Fate Storm.

After the attack subsided, Chaz was on the ground, motionless, and Ghaleon was pronounced the Winner. "Hmph, just like all the others, hardly a bite worthy of his bark"

Moral of the story? Heros don't always prevail.
