Rikku's relying on her excellent speed to win the day. She'll easily go before Meg, and that gives her a chance to either use one of her Use skills to wear down the girl, or chip away with her physical. Silent Lake does nothing to Rikku, who can still heal thanks to her limitless supply of Al-Bhed potions. All she needs to do is outlast Meg's healing, and put the girl away with one of her Overdrives. |

Meg faces a fighter completely different than her previous opponents. She may have become complacent with her Silent Lake strategy, but using it in this battle would be a serious mistake! Instead, Meg must focus on something she's neglected throughout most of the season: her healing. If she can manage to kill Rikku before her overdrive and heal as needed, Meg should be able to advance to the finals. |
Cmdr_King Like most fathers, Rikku's dad wanter to see her succeed. Thus, when Cid learned of Meg's desire to learn the ways of the Trickster, he had a stroke of brilliance. He tracked the girl down shortly before the match. "Say, are you the one that's gonna fight my little Rikku?" Meg nodded quickly. "How would you like to skip the match and come aboard my Airship? I'll let you tinker with the engines..." And thus Meg never showed up for the bout, handing Rikku the win. Rikku: 35 |
