Season 9, Week 4
Teepo
(Breath of Fire III)

The semifinals bring the dragon lord to his hardest match yet. The Phantasy Star IV hero won’t be easy for Teepo. Between his powerful Megid and the massive defense boost he gets from the two-shield setup, Chaz won’t be easy to dispatch. However, some of Teepo’s most powerful attacks are magic-based, which nullifies any defensive advantage that Chaz has. The fighter is also susceptible to Howling’s confusion effect, which will leave the fighter unable to think on his own while Teepo blasts him with powerful magic. With any luck, the dark dragon should have a place in the finals next week.

Chaz easily dispatched a former Dragonmaster last week, but now he finds himself facing a far nastier opponent in the Dragon Lord. Much like Laike, Teepo has great durability to back up his powerful physicals - but unlike Laike, he won't succumb to one Explode casting. Luckily, Chaz's defense is nothing to scoff at if he chooses a two-shield setup, and Nares will keep him alive a long time - long enough to blast Teepo with a few Megids whenever he sees an opening. Howling is one last hurdle, but with luck Chaz's status resistance and good magic defense will let him avoid it long enough.

What would you rather spend your time doing?
A) Having a date with a Goddess in her private garden with a view to kill for. Or
B) Fighting a cheesy main character who has the personality of a brick, hence making the match long and boring?

Teepo obviously took the better choice here.

Teepo: 17
Chaz Ashley: 22
