Season 9, Week 3
Brey
(Dragon Warrior IV)

This will be an interesting match for Brey. Even though his opponent has the dreaded Silent Lake spell, Brey's speed ensures he'll gets one spell off. With that spell he can use BiKill to double his attack power and pound his opponent into the dirt with a quick stick beating. Or he can opt to open with Chaos and attempt to Confuse Meg, following up with offensive magic blasts. Finally, if Silent Lake does take effect, Brey can use his low-accuracy Poison Needle skill to inflict Instant Death on his opponent. In any case, Brey has the means to win this match.

The Suikoden 2 trickster returns to the RPGDL arena to face yet another Dragon Warrior 4 mage. Her strategy remains the same from her last match; cast Silent Lake, and finish her opponent in the three turns Brey is unable to use magic. She can accomplish this with her devastating Trick Rune, two of her solid physical attacks finishing off the job. This was enough to finish Nara - who is defensively superior to Brey - so Meg should have no trouble beating yet another Dragon Warrior 4 mage, thereby advancing into the Light semi-finals.

This.. is close. What tips it in Meg's favor isn't even Silent Lake, but her Trick Rune. One shot of that will put Brey in a bad way, and she'll get another turn sometime for the KO.

Brey: 16
Meg: 20

Yeah, Brey's durability is terrible.

Unfortunately, Meg's own durability is just as bad, and she has this tendency to fall if enemies look at her too long.

While she isn't quite Luc bad in the defense department, a savage stick beating from a BiKilled Brey should send her packing quite nicely.

Maybe next time, eh, Meg?
