Season 9, Week 3
Keele Ziebel
(Tales of Eternia)

Keele Ziebel comes into his next match with mixed feelings. On the one hand, his opponent Jacques is of the ranged variety, meaning Keele can be knocked out of his spells regardless of distance. On the other, Jacques wields a rather bulky weapon, meaning he's not all that fast, and he usually stays in one place. This works out well for Keele, as he's a fairly speedy caster, and the majority of his spells are more accurate and powerful against a stationary opponent. As long as Keele keeps up a constant barrage of spells, he should be capable of overwhelming Jacques.

Jacques can taste it. A rematch against Bowser, the one who cost him his first season in the DL. Of course, the mercenary will have to make it past Keele, first. Jacques possesses solid physical damage, something that the frail Keele is vulnerable to. Jacques also has solid magic resistance, another attribute which the pure mage Keele also doesn't like. Jacques can feel the rematch against Bowser looming near, and should live to see it as long as he doesn't spend too much time looking past his opponent this week.

Hunter Sopko
On the one hand, you have a quiet, introspective, S-Class Sharpshooter who has good taste in women.

On the other, you have an unassuming, intelligent Craymel Mage who thought that after being thrown out of the Craymel Acadamy and being called a traitor by the King (both for the same reason), thinks it's a good idea to then go to the church for help.

Hmm... Aila's gonna be quite happy after Jacques wins this one. She loves a man with common sense.
