Clash of the Titans: Battle Three
Photon Power vs. Getter Power: Rematch!
VS

~Kanos

After the climactic battle of two weeks ago in which the Getter Robo trounced the Mazinger Z in a tremendously close fight that left the Getter Robo victorious by a single vote. However, Kouji Kabuto of Photon Power Labs is ready for a rematch after two weeks of rest and recuperation, and this time he's serious.

In this week's Clash of the Titans, we feature a clash of two of the most powerful mecha ever to take the field. In Kouji Kabuto's corner is the Black Castle of Nightmares, the Mazinkaiser, the final invention of Kouji's late grandfather. The Mazinkaiser features possibly the strongest armor to ever grace a super robot's frame, able to shrug off anything from lasers to nuclear blasts. Coupled with Kouji's awesome defensive skills, the Mazinkaiser is nigh-invincible. However, it is definitely no slouch on the offense, either, possessing the 25% Mazin Power damage bonus of its predecessor and a horrifically powerful list of attacks ranging from Turbo Smasher Punch to the almighty Fire Blaster, which should easily punch through the Shin Getter's middling armor.

In the corner of the Getter Team is the mighty Shin Getter, the true form of Getter Robo. The Shin's three forms allow it a stunning amount of versatility. Ryouma Nagare's Shin-1 specializes in doing insane amounts of damage, featuring the Shin Getter's centerpiece, the Stoner Sunshine, possibly the most powerful attack ever wielded by a super robot. Hayato Jin's Shin-2 specializes in playing the evasion game, sporting Shin Getter Vision, giving it a flat 50% chance to evade any attack. Finally, Benkei Kuruma's Shin-3 features better armor than either of the other two forms and bears the famous Daisetsuzan Oroshii throw attack for huge damage should the Shin Getter run out of energy for Stoner Sunshine. All of the Shin Getter's forms sport the powerful Open Get ability, giving them a flat 25% evasion chance against any attack in addition to any other evasion they might have, helping to make up for their average durability.

Kouji's spoiling for vengeance over his previous loss and the Getter Team is ready and raring to prove that they earned their win in Battle Two. Who will emerge victorious in this week's Clash of the Titans?

  • Getter Team triumphs again
  • Mazinkaiser topples the Shin Getter

"TURBO SMASHER PUNCH!!"

The shout from Kouji soared across the battlefield, surging, just like the spinning fists of destruction, right towards the Shin Getter 1.

"GETTER BEAM!"

Yet again, the two fists were blown back by the giant pink beam of angry Getter Rays.

This battle had gone on for hours, with neither side actually being able to accomplish anything.

"I see you've improved a lot, Kouji-kun." Ryouma's voice came across the comm-link.

"He~h! With Kaiser, I don't have to worry about ever being beaten, Ryo-san!" Kouji grinned a little and leaned over his controls yet again.

"That's good. But we don't plan on losing, either." Hayato stated quite plainly.

"Well then, I suppose if the two of you won't actually be able to defeat one another, I'll simply have to cut in." Came a sudden, and rather surprising voice over both of their lines.

High in the sky, a large gravity well began forming, and out floated the familiar purple form of the Neo Granzon.

"Shuu!" Ryouma cursed, glaring at his video display, to which Shuu only smirked.

"Damn you! What do you want?!" Kouji cursed.

"Hou... It seems I'm not welcome here." Shuu simply smirked. "I need your powers to defeat something, and so I'd like you to come with me. I intended to wait until there was a clear victor or loser, but it seems as if you all won't be winning this battle any time soon, so I decided to simply step in now. Whether or not you believe me, I really could care less. We're going, and we're going now." He stated, as a large black hole began forming around the area.

"What the hell!? We won't just lay down and help you!" Kouji screamed.

"You really have no choice in the matter, I'm afraid." Shuu laughed a small bit, as the three robots vanished without a trace.
