Season 1, Week 4
Kuja
(Final Fantasy IX)

After dispatching a pair of dark, serious opponents, Kuja now faces a foe much more like himself in Queen Zeal. And indeed, if the two can avoid getting into a slapfight over who is more beautiful, Kuja will no doubt discover that one thing has not changed: he still has the upper hand in a fight. With his status as a penultimate boss nullifying Zeal's best moves, he's left with superior offensive power, superior speed, and superior counters to help take Zeal down. Whether by constantly healing and letting Zeal kill herself on Flare Star counters, or taking to the offensive and blasting the Enlightened One with single-target Flare and Holy spells, Kuja has all the weapons needed to advance to the finals.

Wielding Lavos' power as well as her already formidable strength as Queen of the magic kingdom of Zeal, Queen Zeal isn't your average foe. Of course, this time she faces an enemy who is immune to her most powerful attack, Lifeshaver, and capitalises on her greatest weakness with speed that eclipses even the fastest of heros while she herself is a rather plodding target. However, with her selection of Hexagon Mist, Skygate, and other potent attack spells, Queen Zeal may yet prove that slow and steady wins the match.

Zeal is powerful. Zeal has a powerful counter. Zeal can crush most PC's with a wave of her hand.

Kuja can do all that, and unlike Zeal, he isn't slow. Match to the crossdresser.

Kuja: 14
Zeal, Queen: 3

I recall fighting Kuja for quite some time before I beat the cross dressing bastard... (damn not leveling at all) and I also recall Kuj going through well over 1000MP against me... I would go so far as to say that Kuja has enough MP to never be drained. Slap me if I am wrong.

Unfortunately, it's a long tradition in Square RPGs that a counter can not be countered. Which means that Zeal's precious hands are going to be fried when Kuja counters her attacks with repeated Flare Stars, and there's nothing she can do about it!
