Season 7, Week 3
Loki
(Valkyrie Profile)

Having dispatched the king of devils, Loki now faces a stiffer challenge this week: a brooding female swordsman! Well, OK, that doesn't sound like a stiffer challenge, but keep in mind Loki's only RPGDL loss to date came at the hands of one bearing that description. Still, Rose is no Terra; the Dark Dragoon's elemental defence covers only one element, leaving her prime for Loki's devastating Indiscriminate quadra-cast. With Loki's terrifying defence reducing Rose's fearsome swordplay to a collection of mere scratches, the trickster god is all set to pick up his second DL win.

"Astral Drain!" Those two words are likely to ring out over and over in this fight, as the parastic Rose attempts to drain her way past Loki. With his powerful magics wreaking havoc on the fragile Dragoon, it'll be all Rose can do to prevent him from knocking her out. She has plenty of uses of her powerful Astral Drain, and with her Dragon Buster at her side, Loki won't dare summon the power of the Dragon Orb to aide him.

El Cideon
Loki vs. Rose. Dragon Orb vs. Dragon Buster. One word aptly sums up the result of this not-quite-epic match:

*SPLAT*

The words "Writhe in Pain" were still ringing in the dark dragoon's ears as Dart and company dragged her to DL infirmary.

Loki: 22
Rose: 3

Shale
To Rose's credit, she's not limited to physical attacks - she can summon the Dark Dragon to penetrate Loki's legendary defense, making him work for his victory if nothing else. And it will indeed be "nothing else."

Meeplelard
Loki was furious. If he heard the words "Astral Drain!" one more time, he would kill someone who was not Rose. He knew winning this match normally wasn't going to happen, since his patience was driving thin. He couldn't stand this transforming Female swordsman.

Then he came up with an idea. Kill, female Swordsman...maybe he could win this match out of a random technicality?

Surveying the Arena, he noticed two familiar female faces sitting at different areas of the arena, both with certain male friend. This was too good to be true, he thought. It was just too easy.

"Demon's dance!"

"OUCH! I wasn't ready!"

"we're in the middle of a battle, I don't have to show you any remorse"

She was right, he had to make this look like an accident though. "Writhe in Pain!" he yelled, followed by a "Ah ha ha ha ha!" firing 2 Extension Forces, both marginally missing Rose.

"What kind of aim was that?"

"Oh, you weren't my target, my fair Dragoon..."

Rose look behind. Where once General Leo and Lucian were sitting was no a pile of smoldering ruins. Rose was confounded at why he did that...

Loki was smiling, seemingly waiting for something. What was it? Just then, a Giant Spear and big blue orb appeared out of nowhere, followed by Lenneth Valkyire, Glance Reviver and all, and Terra Branford (in Esper form), both completely enraged, tackling the Trickster god, beating the snot out of him.

Nobody understood the point of this, I mean, why would Loki do something that would get himself killed?

It was then the announcer spoke "And winner by Disqualification from Inteference...Loki!"

Rose cursed to herself for not realizing the plan sooner, though, she did admit it was fun Loki getting the crap kicked out him again, by his two most hated females, even if it did cost her the match.

Dark Holy Elf
Rose has ten shots of Astral Drain, her parasitic healing attack. Loki's Indiscriminate, on the other hand, is only four shots.

... Per turn. Sorry, Rose.

DragoonJay
Rose doesn't like being hit repeatedly, even if it's with magic. She gets ready to use Astral Drain only to find herself with a negative HP value
