Season 7, Week 1
Nina Wyndia
(Breath of Fire II)

The records of the various Ninas has been a mix of good and bad, ranging from a well-earned Middle championship to a disgraceful first-round flameout. Which one will Nina 2 take after? Like Nina 3, her magic is geared towards raw offense. Unlike Nina 3, it also deals respectable damage. Nina has cute black wings, and even cuter black magic. Death cutely kills her opponents with a wave of her hand, and BoltX cutely fries them if they dare to resist her status magic. What's cuter, though? That Josh Kain's own instant death is worthless, or that Nina will look so cute blasting the Algolian to hell and back with her magic?

The best (and only) wrecker in the RPGDL is prepared to take a Light championship this season, even if it means breaking some bones in place of nuts and bolts. Though his techniques are geared towards taking down mechanical enemies, and are hence nigh-useless against the humanoid Nina, Kain's years of wrecking have given him strong muscles which, in conjunction with his dual Laconian Maces, should give him the ability to wreck the fragile little princess this week. Though he'll take a beating from her magical onslaught, his superior durability and strength should see him through to his first win this season.

Kain didn't need his wrecking equipment, but he brought it anyway. Bad move when your opponent can harness the power of electricity. A single BoltX set off all his equipment, making him (for a very short time) the hottest guy in the RPGDL.

Nina Wyndia: 19
Josh Kain: 4

Nina's made to hurt living things. Kain's made to dismantle machinery. One of these fighters is in her element, and you don't need that hint to know which.
