Season 7, Week 1
Necron
(Final Fantasy IX)

With one of the fastest attack rates in the RPGDL, few can stand up to Necron and hope to survive. Unfortunately for Claude, he's isn't one of the mighty few who can do so. While Claude's offense will make a dent in Necron's rather paltry HP, it won't be enough to KO Necron in a shot. Necron's quadracast includes HP-1 attacks, the legendary Grand Cross status attack, and various high-end elemental magics. Will Necron be able to put one past the sword-slinging Ensign and creep onward to a RPGDL title?

The young ensign has smashed wise men, totalled demons, and killed a god with his mighty attacks. Even so, a combatant like Necron is a tall order for him. What can he do, then? Claude possesses perhaps one of the strongest attacks in the known multiverse, Mirror Slice. Much to Claude's credit, he can hit Necron's one weak point- his holy weakness! With an Aura Blade in hand, Claude can let loose his strongest attack, smiting Necron before he can even so much as blink.

Laggy
Claude may get first hit. He's not OHKOing Necron, even with an Aura Bladed Mirror Slice. Necron, while having fantastically bad durability, is not THAT weak. One Blue Shockwave and 3 Neutron Rings later, our dear ensign has "advanced forward" to the next life.

Necron might not be the original PC-killer, but he's among the best. An insane speed level, Blue Shockwave, and the nonelemental, nonevitable Neutron Ring follow-up spell the end of Ensign Kenni's season.
