Season 61, Week 1
Jill Fizzart
(Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance)

Aerial Draconic Opponents are USUALLY things Venusaur absolutely despises given the nature of his attacks and their resistances, but that doesn't really apply here despite his opponent fitting that exact description! Venusaur's strategy is simple; Sleep Powder, Leech Seed, never attack directly to avoid counters until Jill is at low health, then fire off one big finishing move that punishes her low resistance. And should he get a free turn while she's off dreaming of distant battles, he can even just attack outright without fear of the well known Fire Emblem Counters! Yes, another easy win for the original Grass Starter.

Jill's got her work cut out for her. While her draconic steed affords her excellent mobility, and Jill herself is considerably less frail against magical assault than the typical Wyvern Lord, Venusaur's status assault is still deadly accurate. Fortunately, he's no faster than Jill, and his offense is less than stellar, meaning that Jill can afford to spend a few rounds napping. Her trusty axe will quickly cut through Venusaur's leafy hide, and while the plant-dinosaur... uh, thing will probably get a Sleep Powder or two in, Jill will dodge her share as well, giving the machete-like assault time to trim the vines and give Jill a well earned win.
