Season 57, Week 4
Artea
(Lufia 2: Rise of the Sinistrals)

Ike fights for his friends? Hah! As if. Artea went blind helping his friends and Maxim died saving the world from evil - THAT's truly fighting for your friends. What can a piker like Ike say? He "wandered off" or some nonsense like that? Psch. Artea stands till the end of the good fight, and he'll prove that staying power this week. Ike's impressive physical defenses mean nothing to Artea, who blasts his foes with high grade Holy magic. Ike can't evade or counter that, and to make matters worse, there's Artea's excellent speed. Ike has no chance of a double, and has no way to seriously put pressure on the courageous elf before Zap puts him down for good.

An eager young mercenary, legendary at home and abroad in his own world, Ike still has a long way to go before securing a reputation in the DL. But defeating an old-school Heavy, particularly one of Artea's calibur, will go along way towards that goal. While Artea's holy-aligned spell slinging does strike at Ike's weaker defense, with the legendary blade Ragnell, Ike is hardly out of the fight. Any advantage of range is negated by the blade's unique properties, and its strength, coupled with Ike's own, is plenty to keep Artea on the defensive. With the looming threat of Aether to make an all-out assault dangerous at best, Ike definitely holds the edge in this contest.

Cmdr_King

He fights for his friends.
He's an elf.
Buddy cop show in the making? You bet.
Of course, we all know that the passionate cop who fights for the little guy and to keep his friends and family safe is, perhaps ironically, the loose cannon, the violent cowboy cop who likes the Bad Cop routine a little too much and, during the really dramatic bits, shoves his partner against the wall and dares, DARES him to "say that again".
Ike, being unaccustomed to acting, and Artea, being efficient, decided to practice their routine now, on the battle field. Afterall, DL medics were standing bye in case Ike got a little lost in the role. Which of course he did, winning the match, but really, that's nothing compared to a 5 year, multi-million television contract, right?

Artea: 12
Ike: 15

Ike: "I fight for my...."
Artea then blasts Ike with a Zap Spell. Seems like the developers forgot to give Ike something called "Magic defense"
