Season 57, Week 2
Rolf Landale
(Phantasy Star 2)

Anger is the way of the dark side in the Star Wars universe, but here in the world of Phantasy Star, a little anger is just the ticket to victory. Rolf's not typically an angry person, but when faced with the monumental task of striking down a Hindu deity, any power he can muster is what he'll need. Of course, despite the fact that this seems to be an uphill fight at first glance, it's really very simple - Rolf possess all the tools to crush the arrogant Heat in an instant. Megid, of course, leads the way - the powerful ability will easily crush all of Heat's little appendages with one cast, and a second cast to finish him off. Rolf's tough enough to take anything Heat can dish out - magic, a good hard tentacle, or anything else he can muster, Rolf can take it. It's relatively straightforward - Rolf's lightning quick reflexes ensure he'll get the chance to strike at the beast, and with that, victory for him and his beleagured home game is in the bag.

"Heat wins through the power of Tentacle Porn". While the ex-Embryon may not enjoy the fact that his proponents say that in regards to anyone, there is no question that his match against Rolf is going to be anything but easy. The agent boasts of his power with Megid. The problem with that is simple, however; one of resources. Heat's tentacles can block the attack in full, and regenerate them as many times as he desires. Rolf can only use Megid twice before being rendered incapable of using anything other than his sword. After that, Heat is free to kill and devour Rolf in any way he feels, as the wielder of the Neisword finds himself helpless to mount any kind of offense. Tentacles, Gelid Torrent, Silent Howl, Agidyne, or Inferno Roar, it doesn't quite matter; his enemy will be overwhelmed completely and absolutely. So what if he has to combine himself with an artificial God? The ends justify the means, just as they always have.

Rolf was a little concerned. He was about to fight a former champion, and he was trying to get in the mindset for it, but he couldn't stop thinking about Deis, Celine and Emma sitting at the judges table. Things had a habit of taking a turn for the worse around here when Deis and whoever her current cohorts were got involved. And when two men were in the arena. Like today.

What turned Rolf's concern into pure dread was when the music started. Sure, he was a fairly personallity-free early 16bit era character, but even he knew that Marvin Gaye was not an appropriate soundtrack for a dueling arena.

But Heat walking out in a pink banana hammock and a black muscle shirt that proclaimed him to be a "Tentacle Therapist", smiling and waving to crowd like he didn't find this odd in the least was the last straw.

Rolf blinked, dropped his Megid on Heat and the judges alike, and RAN.

When Chisato tried to reach Heat for a comment after the "match", the red haired demon(that's Heat, not Chisato) had the following to say: "AHAHAHAHAHA! Ahaha...hah...oh man, that was great. Haha..hehe...heh..."
