Season 57, Week 1
Luke fon Fabre
(Tales of the Abyss)

Luke thought his own father hated him. Who names their kid Algus? Seriously, it really puts things in perspective for the young nobleman. Well, you take the good with the bad, as it means that Luke will have to put down this upstart little peasant's attempt at an uprising. This IS the DL Light, after all! It's high time Luke stopped embarrassing himself. Algus has a wide array of weapons to bring against him, but you know what they say: "Jack of all trades, master of none." Luke's finely honed skills with the sword- taught by Master Van HIMSELF!- will humiliate his adversary in a clash of steel, or quickly dispatch him before he can so much as draw the string back on his crossbow.

Luke was everything Algus aspires to be - a great noble with limitless power, who knows how to treat the commoner with all the respect they deserve... or he used to be, anyway. Luke's pitiful change of heart sickens Algus. What once was a proud warrior able to lead like a man is now a pitiful shell who fell in love with a mere sergeant and abandoned his noble rights to save animals who lived in squalor. Algus won't stand for such a travesty! His mighty weapons, from sword to crossbow, will teach Luke the error of his ways. Equipment breaks will shatter his prized gear, so Algus can run this fool through with nary an effort. Victory belongs to the nobility, and who is more noble than Algus?

"Replicas have no god!"

Crack.

Oh, sure, Algus got SOME sadistic fun out of torturing the tied up Luke, for maybe 30 seconds. Unfortunately for him, Luke is a replica with superpowers that still work moderately well even while tied up. Leaving an Algus-shaped blob on the floor after a manly "ARGHHHHHH!" scream and some hyperressonance.

Things just never seem to go Algus's way, do they.
