Season 57, Week 1
Souji Seta
(Persona 4)

The man in blue is about to acquire several new shades of black. Virgil's just run into the latest buzzsaw who decimated Godlike: the ever stunning Souji Seta. His record is as impressive as his moveset, with it requiring the near limitless power of Zophar the Destroyer to finally defeat him. Given that Virgil only has a fraction of Zophar's toughness and durablity, he is particularly vulnerable to Souji's multitude of brutal attacks. Yoshitsune is immensely powerful and extremely fast, giving Souji access to Hassou Tobi. The multi target skill ignores Virgil's defensive tricks and pounds on his unimpressive durability. The odds of Virgil surviving Souji's onslaught? About as good as the odds Yuna had against him when he appeared last. And really, we all saw what the slayer of Izanami did to -her-.

A high schooler, facing off against one of the most powerful beings in the universe? Pathetic! While Soji may challenge divinities personally, Virgil defeated Mary Magdalene and Jesus themselves - the heathen Soji is nowhere near the power level of either of them, and thus, Virgil will have a field day here. All he truly needs is a single shot of Shadow Wing S to stop Soji in his tracks. Backed by speed and evasion that Mary herself had difficulty overcoming, Soji won't easily be able to stop the mighty Virgil fast enough. Alternatively, Virgil can overcome him in a one-on-one battle - Victim's Hail followed by Vengeance Breath will break, silence, and turn Soji into a prone target with little recourse but to surrender or die. All who challenge one of the Testaments invites death upon themselves.

It was quickly announced, five minutes after the match was scheduled to start, that Souji was in no shape to attend the match. It turned out an anonymous tip leaked his tendencies off the field to the news reporters in the Arena.

Needless to say, the following he had obtained--Chie, Yukiko, Rise, Ai, Yumi...Yuna...Ice Queen Avril...did not react kindly at all to the fact that they were all strung along for the whole time.

By the time medical authorities got to him, it was suggested he would have to stay in the hospital for half a year.

Of course, anyone who may've had a hand in this was investigated. Nobody had any comment.

Vergil didn't care. Souji would've been equally bad off if he actually fought. The coincidence just saved him the effort.
