Season 55, Week 4
Dekar
(Lufia 2: Rise of the Sinistrals)

Welp! It doesn't get any manlier than the Knight of Bound battling a steel-encased knight who seeks to defend the honor of his name. So what if Massimo's actually a weird-ass robot? It's going to be one of those good ol' old-school knock down, drag out brutal brawl. The good news? Dekar's physical strength and durability are unmatched even by this robot from a distant dystopian future, and while he's not a mental giant, Dekar's willpower is as much of as advantage as his sword arm. IP healing and steady damage should be more than enough to overwhelm Massimo, and show off the power of a man who has long forgotten how to lose!

The armor-clad hero is ready to bring the good fight to the arena once more! And he fights someone after his own heart, even if human: Dekar is as heroic and stout as the steel defender! Of course, he could be brighter, but his heart is in the right place! It's quite a pity that he's so vastly outclassed by Massimo, though - the hero's Glint Armor and Berserk Charge attacks are far more versatile and powerful than Dekar's limited IP skills. While they can be problematic, Massimo can easily bypass their range, and even the status effects from Berserk will disable Dekar decisively if he manages to survive. After all, a wounded, blind warrior can't really do that much.

When Massimo finally struggled out of the arena, he was battered and sparking, leaving bits of broken armor and servos in his wake behind him.

But even in that state, Massimo was still a slight better off than the ruinous mess of his opponent back in the arena (a mess that the league medics are STILL trying to piece back together into something resembling Dekar).

For what chance did Dekar's puny flesh have against Massimo's unyielding steel?

THE MORAL OF THE STORY: Never bring an axe to an axe fight... er, if the other axe is being wielded by a super powerful robot from the future... or something.
