Season 54, Week 3
Arc Eda Ricolne
(Arc the Lad Collection)

So, for the second time, Arc manages to get to the second round of Godlike. This is good! And for the second time, he runs smack into Loki. This is... not so good. Is there some kind of conspiracy going on around here? Well, it doesn't matter. Arc's going to take this opportunity to give the detestable trickster god a little payback in the form of a Weak Enemy and Invincible-backed heroic beatdown. After Weak Enemy is applied, it'll just be a matter of hacking through Loki's defenses, which are suddenly a lot less formidable than they usually are. The hero's got the resources to do it and he's got the muscle for sure. Now, the only problem is keeping Loki from pulling any dirty tricks like going first. But hey, if Elc could manage to down this foe, so can Arc.

Hm? Haven't the Trickster God slaughtered this lamb before? Well, this is the Duelling League, if he has, there's no reason why Loki wouldn't give Arc another taste of a deity's power. So, back to business, because this god has a championship to exact after so many failed attempts. While Arc has quite a powerful skillset, with neat spells like Weak Enemy and Invincible, the generic hero has rather startling statistical shortcomings. Being neither durable nor fast, Arc will inevitably give Loki the first turn and meet the wrath of Indiscriminate, which should leave this swordsman little more than a smear of blood in the ground. It's time those foolish humans stopped challenging actual gods in these things, honestly. That's a waste of time even for a god of deception.

The fierce blows.

The soaring flights.

The horrific flames of battle.

All of these would be seen within three strokes.

"...You know, letting some Lights judge a match really did seem like a better idea at the time." Terra noted with a sigh. "I mean, they never get to do anything fun, so..."

"Yes, but just picking three at random has it's downsides." Celes noted grimly, as she looked out at the wartorn scene. "Specifically, the average Light's a freak."

"Yes, but...well, Vaida didn't go along with it. Duessel having a love of golf, I can understand that. Mao having a love for the bizarre, I can understand that." Terra sighed again.

"Okay, maybe it's the Godlike's faults." She noted, as Loki easily made a hole in one(after distantly expanding the hole repeatedly using his Dragon Orb to the side of half the field, while an angry Arc stabbed futilely at him.).

"Yep." Celes agreed.

Ultimately, Arc's lack of high range magic doomed him, this battle.

Ultimately, the bill from the course for repairs doomed Loki. He'd better champ this time. He's not going to have the money to pay for that otherwise.
