Season 6, Week 2
Strago Magus
(Final Fantasy VI)

Strago brings a lot of things to a duel, including an accurate attack that inflicts several nasty status effects at once, good damage, healing, and even an ability that turns any status ailments back as his foe. However, what Strago lacks is speed. Were it not for that Behemoth suit, he'd be praising the sluggish Cyan for agility. Thankfully, though, his opponent this week is pretty slow himself, so Strago might for once have the first strike he needs. Considering his opponent's moves could potentially end this fight in turn, he'll need that opening Sour Mouth. Hence, Strago probably wants to use a Nutkin Suit and Circlet to boost his speed as high as possible. As long as things go well, Strago should have an easy victory over Hahn.

Few Middles in the RPGDL can claim to be as knowledgable as Hahn Mahlay, but Strago is one of them. Hahn isn't much afraid, though, as Strago is also one of the few Middles who can claim to be as slow as he is! Ironic for a match between two slow characters, this will be a quickdraw between brutal status magic. Even if Hahn doesn't have the speed advantage, though, he's not utterly screwed - his excellent magic defense could help him resist Sour Mouth, but Strago certainly doesn't have the agility to avoid his Eliminate.

Ruinchaser
Strago uses Blow Fish, which, thanks to its fixed damage value, deals more than the HP cap in PSIV. Strago likes fixed damage attacks, don't he?
