Season 53, Week 4
Kary
(Final Fantasy)

After killing a demon and a vampire, Kary finds herself facing yet another demon. Maybe she should consider a job as a Castlevania PC. Eh, she'll think about it later. Anyway, this shouldn't be too hard to handle, all things considered. Lede is a PC killer who's all about throwing around statuses to cripple and kill with. Kary is a boss, who as the Light Warriors in her game found out the hard way, is near-impossible to inflict status on, especially for mundane demons like Lede. Lede, for all her skill, takes hits like a wuss. Kary, as many Light Warriors have learned the hard way, deals damage like a champ. Lede dies in a pool of her blood. Kary moves on to the finals. Any questions?

Well, that was that. Nash Rumack's pointless cantrips were no match for the murderess' swift technique. However, the Fiend of Fire, Kary, is quite a step up from that annoying twat. Kary's physical damage is as respectable as her match-winning Hold spell, and her immunities are a step above the typical dueler. However, she still has a few gaping holes, and Lede has the variety to exploit this little flaw. Past that, Lede still has blistering offense in addition to her brutal status game, so even a slugfest could turn her way if she plays her cards right. With the power of the maleficent Zodiacs by her side, Lede won't lose to the first demon floozy that crosses her. Not so easily.

Taishyr
Kary and Lede faced each other calmly. Two maidens of destruction, on the battlefield. Both capable of rending flesh from limbs as easily as breathing.

And then Kary set Lede on fire.

MORAL OF THE STORY: You may be fast and deadly, but fire will always set you on fire. With fire.
