Season 6, Week 1
Altima
(Final Fantasy Tactics)

Altima is getting a lucky break this week in Georg Prime. While Georg has great stats overall, he's missing the two things he needs to deal with an Arch Angel: magic defense and status resistance. This is a very bad thing, since Altima has both All-Ultima, one of the most powerful spells in Ivalice, and Grand Cross, which has a fixed 25% chance of dealing each of: Petrification, Blindness, Confusion, Berzerk, Frog, Poison, Silence, and Sleep, most of which disable Altima's opponent. And unlike many status attacks, that's not 25% odds for all to hit, but 25% chance for each, meaning that there's a very high chance Altima will end this battle before it even starts...

Georg may not be anything more than a one-dimensional fighter, but what he lacks in variety he makes up for in skill. That means he hits fairly often, and he hits hard. Granted, he will be in for a hard fight this week against Altima, but all he needs is a bit of luck to match up one of the powerful Suikoden Criticals with a charging Altima in order to gain a quick edge which even an Arch Angel would be hard-pressed to overcome.

While Altima is quite the stinker for a final boss, and Georg does have a remarkable amount of attack, levels, popularity... You're wondering where I'm going with this, aren't you? At any cost, despite the general craptastic difficulty of Altima, there's one place where he/she shines: Spanking Georg with magic damage. Georg Prime, despite his rather impressive build, sucks horridly when placed against magic. Hell, he'd most likely get scalded by Lemina bopping him over the head with a staff of hers. So you can imagine the liquified DEATH Ultima All would hold for him...

Altima: 19
Georg Prime: 1

S2 doesn't have status protection. Altima has a good status attack. I think we all know where this is going.

I really wanna make something funny about Georg trying to OHKO Altima nad failing miserably, but alas, the fact that Altima is fast, and guns Georg down instnatly with Grand Cross or any of her other plethora attacks nulls any chance of me making any humor out of this, so to be blunt, Altima wins.
