Season 52, Week 3
Zophar
(Lunar 2: Eternal Blue)

The Destroyer is hard to argue with. When you can blow up a planet, disagreements tend to go your way. The Regent Deamoned is a pretty hard guy to argue with too, with his Absolute Defense reducing damage. Unfortunately for him, it doesn't reduce it by enough to survive Zophar's dreaded Fate Storm. Deamoned should be familiar with horrendous overkill, but even Wyrm has nothing on Zophar. Maybe if Deamoned's defense was a few dozen times more powerful, he might have a chance. Maybe. Another championship is in reach for the villain with Godlike's sexiest voice, and one little former Heavy is about as much of an obstacle as a hamster to Zophar.

Fighting overwhelming power is what Deamoned specalizes in. He made a career out of fighting Dragons, creatures whose strength dwarfs that of even the Destroyer on the battlefield. Absolute Defense will slow down Zophar's deadly magic barrage at least long enough for Deamoned to get in a couple of body shattering combos and put away the magical menace. All Deamoned needs to do is withstand a few of Zophar's slow attacks, like he withstood the power of the Wyrm so very long ago. Not even a creature with the near infinite power of Lunar's world shattering terrible force can stand up against a Regent's bonebreaking assault for long!

Deamoned faced down the power of the Destroyer without fear nor without a worry about his own safety. He just stood down and did his duty and fought to his last breath. Sound familiar? It should, because good old Ned did about as well against the infinite power of Wyrm as he did facing Zophar's horrid powers of evil.
