This will prove an interesting match indeed for the Pale Rider. Odessa's Wind Rune is just full of nasty tricks, and the woman wielding it is no slouch in any department. In what is perhaps the first really challenging fight of the season for the member of Brionac, Kresnik is going to have to control the pace of this fight if he wants to win. So the gameplan will be to simply do what he does best, and turn this into a resource war. For all it's many strengths, Suikoden's rune magic has one glaring weakness; it's reliance on a very limited number of charges to function at all. With his deep MP reserves and incredible magical defense, the Pale Rider can outlast her status, weather her attacks, and still refresh his stamina long after she's exhausted her last spell. |

The Pale Rider of Brionac may have had an easy streak so far this season, but the capable rebel Odessa Silverburg is about to prove quite a challenge for the gunner this time. While Kresnik has quite a deep resource pool for his healing and Adrenaline Factor, Odessa is significantly superior statwise, sporting a brilliant speed/evasion combo, which will prove capable of keeping up with him even after Adrenaline Factor kicks in. Meanwhile, he can't buff his defense, which means he'll be entirely vulnerable to Odessa's sharpshooting skills. With a few shots of healing under her own wings to make this even more tortuous, the Silverburg rebel certainly can muster up the resolve to get past the Pale Rider with just a few bruises, especially given his quite terrible offense. |
Tide Healing? Check Extreme Magic Defense after Adrenaline Rush to counter spells + Status? Check Overtake enemy's speed advantage after Adrenaline Rush? Check Lock On to bypass enemy evasion? Check Low spell costs? Check Ability to restore your own MP in case you run low? PRICELESS There are some things Kresnik can't do. But a resource war?
