Season 51, Week 1
X
(Mega Man X: Command Mission)

In his Duelling League debut, X is locked and loaded for the fiercest battles of his life! Judging from his first opponent, they don't look so tough, though. A mere human, even one possessed by a True Rune, is hardly a match for X's bleeding edge technology. Being faster and having a notable durability edge even over Luca's damage-halving once his Hyper Mode kicks in, X can gun down the monstrous killer in short order, and his basic attacks can even ignore the mad prince's resistances. Being outsped, outdamaged and outtanked, Luca Blight has little hope but to flail his sword uselessly against the most powerful Reploid in existence. At least, X can down the frothing madman without remorse, given his unsettling roster of crimes.

Bwhaha. A mere automaton challenges the great Luca Blight? How sad. X is no match for the mad prince in either power or durability, as Luca possesses as much as his life and death would lead you to believe. X wins his fights by surviving the starting barrage, morphing, getting an extra turn or two from X's heart and then finishing up his foe. He'll have no such luck, requiring a massive amount of WP to put down Luca for the count. He'll be roasted by Flame Slashes and deadly sword strikes all the while. Even worse is Luca's triple attacks, making X's Heart boost worthless. Sure, the super fighting robot's a little quicker once he morphs, but that won't nearly be enough to prevent him from being turned to scrap heap by a former godlike champion.

Have you ever seen X against someone with melee attacks?

Dreadful. It doesn't work at all. I mean, sure, you can try to avoid them, or run from them, or climb walls or something, but actually fighting them head on? You get carved to bits half the time.

Melee attacks are just too fast and do too much of his life bar.

...Oh, wait, this is the RPG version, none of that applies.

"...this is the sort of thing that makes me hate multiple forms." Zophar noted, as X, already technically a loser, plinked at an enraged Luca from the stands.

"Eh. Not like he certainly would have won if he'd kept his facts straight anyways." Chaz shrugged.

"Besides, this way we get to see most of the stadium blow up!" Rika cheered happily, as Luca blasted yet another row of seats into an inferno as he tried to get to X.

Ultimately, Luca's unpatterened assault was no match for X's infinite room, and as the battle smashed around halfway through the woman's pre-match changing room, Luca fell.

Of course, that didn't save X anyways.
