Season 50, Week 5
Camus
(Suikoden II)

Camus has battled heroes all season. Noble duels like that are fun and put his powers to the test, but don't have the same impact as taking down a demonic bad guy like Slash. The Rage Rune burns for a chance at destroying some form of evil, burns with the infinite power of Fire. What can Slash due to stop Camus? Whimper and weep, and beg for mercy. Speedy swordsmanship is no match for magic and all that Camus brings to the table. His innate toughness is only matched by his refined combat skills. Slaughtering Light like he has is no accident - Camus is no lucky scrub to get to the finals. He's as strong as any Light in DL history, and is going to beat Slash down, then set his sights on settling a few scores in Middle.

After beating up small children and a dancing girls, Slash finally faces an opponent who is already tempered in the heat of battle... much to his chagrin. After all, it’s far easier to scare an opponent completely senseless when they're already scared of the dark to begin with! Nevertheless, Slash isn’t too worried about this final Light match. After all, Camus is heavily elemental, and Slash’s second forms halves all elements! And while Camus may have excellent defense, his subpar HP and Mdef means Slash’s magic will again have extra punch to finish the fight. And of course, Slash’s excellent vitality and speed will let him outlast and outspeed the Matilda Knight, giving Slash a shot at finally returning to Middle.

Joou Ranbu
Camus against Slash. The jokes could write themselves all over. There could be an epic crossover doujin spawning for five yaoi conventions, furiously written six-hands by the terrifying Deis/Opera/Millenia triad. And don't get me wrong, it almost happened.

But then, the girls made the terrifying mistake of peeking at Slash's room for "research" while he was asleep. The face under the helmet was... quite a monstrosity. Deis nearly passed out in disgust, and Opera still has nightmares about it. Millenia stopped an inch short from clawing his face out, which could've had disastrous results. A change of plans was absolute.

The point is that they decided to kidnap Camus and Gaignun to a deserted island instead. As of now, they're furiously writing Suikoden Survivor Saga: The WAFFening, enjoying the sight of shirtless Camus and Gaignun in a tropical paradise. Meanwhile, Slash got handed a victory by default, blissfully unaware of the torment that could've been unleashed into the RPGDLverse.

This year's yaoi convention is looking good, at least.
